I Think that we neednt methods to gain or recover anima, what we need is the chocobos/airship, and then you wont use anima for everything or for teleporting a camp when you are around in the same region. IF anima isnt that limited chocobs/airship wont make any sense.

Agreed. And I'm looking forward to see how they will design future zones with regards to the distribution of aetherites, chocobo stands and airship ports.
Right now the zones are designed around aetherite and efficient teleportation, this might change in future development/expansions.

We already have a quest to replenish anima. It's really easy to do:
You wait for 4 hours -> +1 anima
And you don't even have to talk to an NPC or ring bells!

i would like to have anima and teleport removed completely. This feature spoiled the game for me.
Walking is so slow and so damn boring, once you start teleporting you don't want anything else.
I would rather like to have the airships and chocobos ASAP

I also suggest we cut off our characters legs, because walking is apparantly Taboo in this game and anything involving it should be replaced with teleportation.

Yes I agree (not that it should be removed, but that it spoils the game right now), and that's why I think that you should have to earn your right to teleport (by doing quests) instead of just having it handed to you by waiting.
Chocobos and airships will improve travel efficiency without teleport, but I still think teleporting is important to keep in game, maybe not at the level it is now, and maybe not freely like it is now. Also it could take you to a limited number of places in future zones as opposed to the aetherites positioned at every 2 minutes of walk in current zones.

Nice thread
The teleports stones from FFXII could be something realy interessant for FFXIV.
Disciples of the land could gather new material.
Disciples of the hand could synthesis & sell teleports stones, with new receipes.
This would add a new money sink to the gils flow, that I love =)
I like the idea of repeatables quests that give anima too.
Didn't see there was 3 pages already.
I suggest cut off some tongues, because speaking of our cool way to play is apparently taboo. Every people that doesn't want walking 2 hours per day is calling a noob, or two years old

Well, i was just stating the replies i got in my thread. Its a given that i made the same topic, that I agree with you 100%Regardless there will always be a need for teleportation, maybe less than now I agree.
My point was not exclusively that anima are insufficient so we need other options to replenish them. It was also that I thought that it could be a good idea to implement content around the ability to teleport since it is a core aspect of gameplay.

I like this idea a lot.Nice thread

It links every group of players (gatherers, crafters, fighters), which is what I meant in the OP when I said it could represent a rallying content. Also, it creates a disposable and highly used resource with a rapid turnover (= gils sink), and most importantly, you have to earn them.
The only thing is that there would need to be a limit to how much you can use these stones as the objective here would not be to increase teleport capacity, but rather to add content around it. Maybe you could quest items (repeatable quest with a given cooldown) that need to be used in conjunction with crafted teleport stones...
edit: or you quest animas, which need teleport stones (bought from crafters) to be used, as suggested in your post
