    Quests to replenish anima

    This has been inspired by this thread:

    but it addresses a number of topics so I thought I would post it separately in here to discuss it more specifically.

    What would you think of quests that would allow to replenish animas?

    If it's well designed and balanced, it could be a rallying type of content that would make you accomplish something instead of waiting for them to add up with time and running around for long periods between camps and cities.

    The thread I linked also proposed quests to raise anima cap, which I think would be a great idea, as long as you need to accomplish quite a few deeds in Eorzea before having access to that content.

    I think making a small amount of anima a reward for completing leve quests would be a good idea, as well as making daily (24 real hours) repeatable quest which rewards you with a decent sum of anima upon completion.

    I think this thread was discussing ways in which we can replenish our anima, not an alternative to anima.

    Unless of course you meant obtaining "teleport stones" which would replenish our anima (sorry, don't remember too much about FF12).

    The quests should be long and force you to go all 3 cities then back to the city you picked the quest for completion.

    I dont see how difficulty has any relative to re-obtaining anima. Why should it be annoying to obtain? People are going to do it regardless.

    I mean I see it like this: XIV is going to go in a different direction and the current "camps" wont be used so much for new areas, I believe once the airship stuff is in place those airship pads will be of more use. And in new areas be one of the primary ways to get there. Even in XI you still had to choco+run to Sky, Sea you had to take the airship! So Anima will only be really used for the old areas, which new people will meet, and in current design a new player who wants to explore is just not going to have that luxery.

    It either needs to be a way you can reobtain anima through current quests, reduce the anima cost to 1 for everything or increase the return rate from 4hrs to 1.

    Well that comment was a joke, but since you brought it up.

    Its like life, money makes life easy. To obtain this you work, the more stressful/difficult/shady your job the more money you get to make your life easy. Why should something which makes travel easy mode be also obtained easy mode. Though I guess I understand your point, why make it difficult but the effort should decide the reward.

    Considering the direction of the game is heading to a less stressful horizon I guess it would a contradiction if it was difficult and didn't give you like 20 anima at least per day.

    Edit: XI this is not. Master Obi-Wan, not victory. The shroud of the dark side has fallen. Begun, the Clone War has!

    Actually you could warp to Sea and Sky in XI you could warp anywhere. I stopped using choco's around 2009 once i had all outpost warps sky warp, and anything i needed to travel fast no one used Airships in XI after a while nor the boats people only got on boats mostly for fishing
