Can't we just make the battle system like FFXI's?

So if I understand you correctly, you think I am wrong to claim that the time between release and review between the two games can't be compared fairly, because you believe that the extra knowledge they gained from the years of FFXI development should have applied to FFXIV, which should have resulted in a much better game at release, thus those 3rd month reviews are completely comparable to the 18th month reviews of FFXI. Does that about sum it up?

Yes, exactly. Even now, if reviewed 7 months after release, FFXIV would not compare to XI 12 months after release. It just shouldn't be that way. Either way, we're arguing over nothing. Reviews don't really matter to me, just the uncertain future of this game.
