I have 8 crafts at 50. All I did was watch T.V. and spam standard for easy mode synths. Enjoy leveling those crafts in 1.19 and beyond everyone!
On a funnier note, how does this have anything to do with XIV? Why hasn't this been taken off of the forums yet is beyond me
Since I'm lame:
World of Warcraft accessibility
City of Heroes character customization
FF series story telling
Guild Wars PvP balancing
Maybe it's because I never played Assassin's Creed, but....wut? 0.oTake the Everquest out of Final Fantasy XIV, add in some Demon's Souls, Minecraft, and Assassin's Creed. Done.
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)
Really? I'm sure S-E is taking notes on what we consider a perfect MMO.
I'd like:
Cel-shaded visuals
Real time hack 'n slash combat (square to defend, x to attack)
Equipment that teaches abilities.
Combination attacks.
Ownable boats/sailing.
NPC crafters (you bring them the materials, they make the item for you).
Height taken into consideration when attacking. (High-ground has the advantage etc).
A very basic class system (Tank, DPS, Ranged, Healer, Caster.)
Okay, now can I use the names of games? I want Zelda/ Secret of Mana style gameplay with FFT/FFIX skill system (featuring CT/CC dual techs/triple techs).

When you have people listing other MMO's that is their competitors, I doubt it. Especially since they are moving back towards auto-attackReally? I'm sure S-E is taking notes on what we consider a perfect MMO.

You doubt what? That S-E won't take what we say serious because we list elements from their (profitable) competitors? It's not paying attention to the what the competition is doing/has done that got them in trouble in the first place. And what does the inclusion of auto-attack have to do with this? Most MMOs have auto-attack, adding it isn't "moving back," it's going forward, realizing what works that others have done, and incorporating those mechanics to make a more playable game. Have you ever tried to have a LS conversation while fighting in FFXIV? It's damn near impossible.

yeah because it's very immersive to talk while fighting. The two MMO's that people are listing (TERA and GW2) don't have auto-attack, so no, it's not 'moving forward'. It's moving backYou doubt what? Yeah. Who wants to talk to people while playing a MMO? Totally breaks immersion. Are you even listening to yourself?

Watching your character fight for you so you can talk to your friends? Dude, seriously if you look at many of the MMO's coming out in the next year are all action-oriented where you are dodging moves or aiming yourself. It's definately a step back for me
~I can swim ~ I can jump ~ I can fly ~ I can run ~ I can walk ~ I can sit ~ I can talk ~ I can craft ~ I earn experience based on my actions ~ I can shop for clothes in many colors and styles ~ I can get my hair done ~ I can get my face done ~ I can get my nails done ~ I can play with my friends ~ I have a home ~ I have a form of transportation~
~~ Hmm.... rl or mmo ~~~ go figure. :P
