    Greetings,

The Battle team is aware that in crowded areas, like FATEs for example, enemies will sometimes not appear for both the PS3 and PC version.
They are currently looking into the best method to address this issue. Once we have more information, we'll be sure to follow up!

A feature to disable minions/chocobo companions/pets would help a lot.

If there was a way to make it so you could adjust the number of character models that render at a time like other MMOs...It's not just monsters either. NPCs are affected as well.

This is the first time after launch I recognizes heavy problems with lags during Fate Events.Worst scenario was Coerthas though. It is ridiculous to my character freezing during battle.
But the fact that I can't even see enemies I'm attacking is pretty sad.It is like fighting invisible objects, also other players on my screen are nothing else than empty air.No orientation on the battlefield at all, and I am standing around like an idiot till Fate is over.

We need to be able to filter out all but the mobs and out FC/party members.

Odin spawned in North Shroud near Alder Springs. The place was so crowded because a bunch of curious lowbies were just standing there, getting killed and then running back to die again. There were way too many players that at some point, Odin became invisible for most of us unless you were standing next to him. I've seen this happen on Behemoth and Svara too.

I was actually thinking of something like patching this into the PS3 options (even PC if someone prefers it). Leave the AoE warning spots, life bars on screen, and the names. Damage can still be done, healers can see who needs lovin', and you still know when to gtfo of the way. I, too, have given up on Odin, Behemoth, and possibly 24-man parties on PS3. It saddens me a bit to think that Yoshida and his team knew of these issues and sold it to us anyway. *Shrugs* I'll probably have to buy a PS4 and another version of the game to get the full value out of it.

    - Before a PC player posts "What did you expect with old hardware?"... I expected to be able to enjoy the game in it's entirety with plenty of graphical corners cut, not be left out of a sizable chunk of the game.

Here's your fix, setup the visual priority in this order:

    1) FATE Bosses
    2) Party PCs
    3) Party Pets
    4) Non-Boss Monsters
    5) Other PCs
    6) Other PC Pets

All you need to do is have strict drawing protocols when entering a fate circle. (like above mentioned)

On top of this you should remove all unnecessary mobs/NPCs whilst a Fate is in progress, de-spawn chocobos companions and minions, the first thing not to be drawn should be summoners pets, as long as they still function as normal (whilst invisible) that is just fine.

They dont' nee d to be "disabled" they just need to be on a low display priority. Main NM(s), > party members and their pets > trash mobs > other people in the FATE > pets / chocobos > Anything not participating in the fate.

More or less what Vinta said.
