My question is pretty simple but i cant seem to find an answer so im hoping someone here can help me out. I've noticed firestarter procs dont seem to pop up until fire hits the target. I usually find myself half way through another fire cast at this point. So my question is: do i interrupt my cast to use the proc? or just finish the fire im casting? I'm guessing i should always burn the proc in hopes of getting another one, but would like some input from others. Thanks in advance.

Apparently it's when it connects. I usually end up using it after the next cast since you are about halfway in when you get the proc. Either they need to change it to on cast completion it procs, or allow it to stack instead of having travel time + hitting the target before you know you have it. Finish your cast, use the proc, and I guess accept that you will sometimes miss the chance to use every proc.

Thanks for the fast response. That is what i had been doing and i guess ill just continue with it for now. I really do hope they do something about it though.

Keep in mind this happens with the Astral III and Umbral III buffs as well. I'm not sure if it does with the damage associated with it, but it does for the cast time.

You can tell this when you cast Blizzard 3, then immediately queue up Fire 3, the cast time is not decreased, you have to wait for it to connect then see the buff show up on your auras then cast fire 3. The Auras don't seem to change until the spell connects.

If it procs while you are casting, you finish the cast, then, white the next fire 1 is in transit, insta-cast fire 3, can you launch that fire 3 in time for the fire 1 you were casting to trigger a new proc?
