You could just add a "Copy Name" to the click menu. That would be useful for many things not just blacklisting. (Obviously we would need a "paste" function as well.)
Papa was a rolling stone...wherever he laid his barbut was home.
Character limit!
My point being that "People vendored their stuff all the time even with three confirmation boxes" is speaking of an entirely different situation. We are not talking about a situation where one would be clicking every line in their chat, selecting "Block user" and then having to click to confirm three times, each time, and doing this through the majority of an 80-slot inventory. We're talking about a situation where one, maybe two people would need to be reported, and a single confirmation is presented. And that is assuming that this issue stems from a similar UI lag issue as the inventory issues did in 1.0, which would make the single confirmation box a good idea.

Interim solutions are for pansies.
Would be nice if there was a way to report them and it puts them on automatic black list with button click. It can say you're reporting so and so for whatever is this correct and then as soon as you say yes boom blacklist. Think it was Ragnarok 2 that had a spam report option that did this that I played while waiting for ffxiv lol
Agreed, It's almost too much work adding someone to black list or reporting them.
I might be misunderstanding your comment, but it's probably worth mentioning that you can just Ctrl+V to paste text in the game already.
I think its funny 90% of the servers are locked & about half the people fighting to get on are probably RMT's. While the chat thing is annoying the amount of people on the "I hate gil buyers train" is laughable. Heads up for the people who are new to FFXIV but never played FF11 (85% of FFXI players either buy gil, sell gil or do neither but don't care if others do) so don't be in shock if people aren't that hidden about it over Vent/TS/ w/e VoIP you use.
What about "boxers" in the game? Can anything be done about that? I already saw someone playing four toons at once. It looked like someone was doing Johnny Cage's Shadow Kick. One Arcanist with three echoing shadows all run to the same NPC, then attack the same monster doing the exact same spells and movements, just an echo of the first.
Some people think this is perfectly legal because they're allowed to have multiple accounts. The thing is, why would anyone want four exact copies of the same character? Because they're using the game to make real world money! They will gold farm until they get bored and then sell their max level toons for a profit as well. There has to be a way to detect this sort of thing and ban them.

Ive played during ffxi prime rmt times, and SE did a great job on cleaning the game up for 75%, but yeh most ffxi players did end up buying gil, and i myself was 1 of those guys that didnt care, cuz like all the good equip became untradable/unsellable.
I just hope they do the same on ffxiv, but this time a bit quicker, cuz it took like 4-5yrs for ffxi to actually have an anti-rmt/haxor GM group. They should make the same kinda GMs for ffxiv:arr imo.
For the people that would still buy gil, well there will always be criminals in life....live with it, or go wait for ff15? :P eitherway i personally wouldnt care if sum1 on the other side of the planet spends his hard-earned money to get "elite sheett" on a game.
Former Denzo Dog of Hyperion. And yes i too am Legacy, bite me! :P
