There are also the people who are sick and tired of folks saying "this happens every time". It actually does NOT happen like this every time. This is the worst launch of any MMORPG in over the past decade.

1. Never before have you had this many maintenance windows occur in the first week without anything being resolved.

2. Never before have entire regions been locked down (including all servers) as "cannot create new chars" or "cannot log into world" for extended periods of time (as in more than a few hours; but in this case it's been days and/or weeks for some players).

3. Never before has a server mechanic (handing off instanced content to different servers) prevented complete class/dungeon progression for hundreds of thousands of players.

4. Never before have you had a AAA MMORPG that did not use an AFK boot function as a core server management protocol to help resolve congestion issues.

5. Never before have there been such extensive issues with service accounts, needing to use a PROMO code to get a PREORDER code to get a REGISTRATION code, using three different service websites to register, etc.

Etc.

Yes, all MMORPG launches are rough. There are bugs, there is server congestion, etc. But I've never seen a AAA P2P MMORPG launch and and have folks unable to even get into the game for the first week, let alone first 10-14 days. I'll be shocked if this week's maintenance outage resolves the majority of the server issues. New servers aren't the answer.
