Login for me these last few days has been like a lottery spawned NM with a high drop rate. Except you really don't want the drop it awards, even if it NPCs for 90k.

Yes, persistence gets you in, but unfortunately for me my play windows are fairly short most nights (1-2 hours), it might not get me in during my window.

Normally I get in within 10-15 minutes of trying at peak hours, despite being on Excalibur, but maybe I've been lucky. Any stories about spending many hours trying to log in this past weekend though, and today too, I'll go ahead and say I believe fully what with so many people being home for the holiday weekend in North America. It's been rough to say the least.
It's been a rough week for sure. I've suffered from it as well as said before, but I see the light at the end of the tunnel. I just hope it doesn't dim.

I can understand that, but nor do I think you attempted to persistently login for the grievous 3-10 hours many of our forum participants apparently obtain? It's an issue which will hopefully be resolved, but I would rather much see the community be much fairer and honest.

They allowed more characters to be created on the servers than the servers could handle and that's just stupid! End of story!
Yes, last night was also the first time I ever had to endure a one hour spam, once I got the NA/EU servers to load. Including the time rebooting the client, mayhap it was an hour thirty. Wasn't pleasant, but I got in. I believe last night's issues were more prevalent than the other day's. In regards to your last post...I offer no opinion in this topic, but I have expressed my view points on the process in other topics.

I've been lucky for the most part having usually 30 mins of errors, maybe 1 hour on a bad day. But last night it was 2 hours of constant 0 pushing while watching some TV.

Don't be ignorant and think "It's working for me so it works for everyone".

I'm not hungry... Doesn't mean there aren't people starving in the world.
Last night was an exceptional case for me as well, as stated above.

However, I'm not 'not hungry'. We are all hungry. I myself get the same errors as everyone. I just don't believe those who are persistent enough to go to five or ten hours of attempts and have nothing to gain for it. As you said, you typically get in after 30 mins of errors. So do I. At the same time as we do that, there are numerous posts claiming the 5-10 hour spans of being unable to login, and the ensuing name-calling and ridicules.

It took me an hour and 20 minutes to get into the game, but you better believe I got in. > I didn't do any NUM-0. I don't know what that is. I manually brought up the launcher, logged in, etc. etc. until I got in.
I can perfectly understand your feelings as I have experienced as such. D:

And NUM-0 refers to the number pad 0 which acts as the confirm button. By spamming it, you do not need to move your mouse or anything to continually go from start menu -> character selection -> ok -> start menu -> character selection -> ok -> start menu etc.

I don't blame them for the servers being busy but what I do blame them for is how it has been handled. I agree with them that it would be a bad idea to have 10s of servers at launch only for them to be abandoned months down the line but there should have been plenty of back up servers in a ready state not ordering some and waiting for 'the UPS man' to deliver them. And the queue system, well it's not a queue system. It might sound good on paper not letting queues last for hours but when the alternative is to have people 'spam clicking' for the login lottery is terrible. I would rather be in a queue of 5000 and wait 2 hours than have to 'spam click' for 30-60 minutes
Yes, I got in, but not without my share of troubles. Troubles which have been plaguing everyone. I'm not alone. I've had every issue everyone on this forum has had, from 3102 during beta to the login issues now. For the rest of your post:
