Many of those playing devil's advocate, saying we either do not deserve compensation or should only receive the exact number of days the game has been out of service, seem to forget how many hours each of us has spent at the login screen trying to just log in.
Not only do we not receive all 30 days given, we actually LOSE countless hours from all the time we've spent each day just trying to LOG IN. If there were a queue, it'd be a different story. I'd be able to get up from my computer and do some work around the house. As it stands, the game needs my full attention for every second until the lobby music stops playing and I actually enter the game. THIS is the part that is unacceptable.
I am not just another angry, entitled brat. I actually had no problem spending time to log in the for the first few days. What got me were all the error 90K issues I suffered during my play while countless numbers of AFKers stood idly by, not affected in the least. I don't want to be punished for playing the game. That is not fun. I also don't want to spend an innumerable amount of minutes/hours trying to login just to get 90K'ed 10 minutes later (which happened in a couple of different instances). Rinse and repeat.
Don't get me wrong. I love the game. I believe almost everyone in the thread feels the same way, and that is exactly why we are having this discussion. Multitudes are enjoying it while we can't. Some of us have lives we need to lead, you know, do things; make money. We can't spend countless hours in front of the computer trying to log into a game that won't let us in. However, we paid the same exact amount of money as those who are currently in the game (inb4 those of you that play semantics and point out the price difference between Greenman Gaming, Regular Pre-orders, CE Pre-orders, and physical v. digital copies).
Please. Throw us a freakin' bone.
Confused... Why use the cable companies as an example if they DO pay compensation and you seem to know about that and the reason why they do?
Also, I agree with the others. They really should give people some free time. Emerg maintenance for a few hours is one thing but for some people they've been unable to log in properly for over a week now. That's pushing the regular downtime button a bit too far.

I was refering to cable as what you watch on tv and people cutting out their cable to just watch it on the computer yes they still might be getting money from you for the internet but obviously you didn't get what I was saying
We have a winner, unfortunately there are so many people who just don't seem to get it. I guess people have just gotten used to getting screwed over and having to eat it that they're willing to accept not being compensated fairly so they just accept it because they're "used to it"Many of those playing devil's advocate, saying we either do not deserve compensation or should only receive the exact number of days the game has been out of service, seem to forget how many hours each of us has spent at the login screen trying to just log in.

Actually I do get what you were saying. I simply completely disagree precisely because the cable companies are getting your money whether you pay for television services or for internet services.
Actually I'm starting to think that unless they're fixing the queue we're still going to have issues. The 1017 is supposed to be a byproduct of the artificial population control. So the server should know exactly how many people log out and by that token how many new people to allow in, right? Well, then why do I get into queues of anywhere from 9 to 229 and still get the 1017 error before I'm actually ever in game?If there were a queue, it'd be a different story. I'd be able to get up from my computer and do some work around the house. As it stands, the game needs my full attention for every second until the lobby music stops playing and I actually enter the game. Just food for thought on the queue front, that's all...
and yes, a bone would be fantastic.
Anyone play EA games? They make a lot of gltiched games and have horrible customer service yet they keep making games and people keep buying them but on that note I bid you farewell for this thread.
Yea the issues that stem usually NOT IN GAME are pretty bad. I dont think imma play the way I really want to until the free trial ends. Thats when the real dedicated players will be around and more space will be available for normal gamers like me who arent complete scum and hog servers. For now I will struggle to get on and log off to let the next reasonable person on when I've had my fill.
