Ya, god forbid they fix their broken system so we the -paying- customer can use the service we -paid- for. What an inflated sense of entitlement we NA players must have. /rollseyesI've heard of no one in North America getting their accounts fixed since Friday. SE decided that it was best to take a long holiday weekend after launching a broken game to take a break from listening to angry customers. I mean, really, they're under a lot of stress and need some coping time. We're selfish to expect them to not enjoy their weekend, doing whatever they'd like. /s
Yes, but NA players are stupid and refuse to learn how to read! Its our own fault for being confused by their convoluted registration pages. I should have known that one account could breed and have little baby accounts. Everyone who bought the game has played MMOs before and should have known exactly what to do.
LMFAO! They could have avoided the entire issue by using the same SE Secure site that XI players use. That site is very straightforward, easy to navigate and oh ya WORKED PROPERLY!Yes, but NA players are stupid and refuse to learn how to read! Its our own fault for being confused by their convoluted registration pages. I should have known that one account could breed and have little baby accounts. PoL oh hell no. No, I mean the current version of the Secure SE site. Well laid out, easy to get around, and it's not confusing as hell. Basically in our current situation, we would of click on Reborn Service and got two sub options:
Register New Code ~> Input code, gets applied to the current XIV account, done
Register New Payment ~> Input payment form, check duration (30,60,90), pick to auto-renew or not, done
Back to playing.
I've played WOW and SWTOR and their account pages are nowhere near as stupid. Referring to EVERY change as a "new service" is the main culprit. FF14 is a service, applying the EA after my beta is not a "new service", I already HAVE the game... applying a 2nd code I shouldn't even HAVE to apply (because it should have been bundled into the EA code) is not a "new service". And my account is my account, FF14 is not its own account on my account, it's REALLY stupid when you type it out. Like I said before, the whole design seems like English as a Second Language.Yes, but NA players are stupid and refuse to learn how to read! Its our own fault for being confused by their convoluted registration pages. I should have known that one account could breed and have little baby accounts. Everyone who bought the game has played MMOs before and should have known exactly what to do.
For all the things SWTOR botched, and likewise with WOW expansions, I've never had to apply extra codes AFTER purchase. The purchase record and appropriate game time or other benefits were put into my account and activated on the appropriate dates simply by being purchased to begin with. Never in my history of buying and playing anything online have I had to repeatedly enter extra codes after purchase to facilitate the basic functionality of the product. This isn't even a "MMO noob" thing, this is a completely terrible design for organizing and processing account information.
