    At the end of the day they have people sitting in the log in screen trying to gain access to a live game, at this point the users are the ones who are suffering. Frankly its poor customer service and it needs to be fixed. The fact that the problems have been going on for almost a full week is inexcusable. The game is very polished but so many features are lacking:

    1) No auto-kick system.
    2) Little to no Que service for waiting in line.
    3) Constant errors that disconnect people or wont allow users to log on.

    How long am I expected as a customer to sit here and attempt to access the game I payed for, they really dropped the ball on this one. Especially with certain competitors around the corner with new content being released soon and even brand new releases slated from other developers. This is your 2-4 week window to try and sell your game to people and retain them past the 30 days. It is almost a week in and I cannot even fathom handing SE a sub for this debauchery next month, look at casual players that in-essence make up the tigers share of MMO sub fees. People who log in for 1-2 hours a sitting. At this time people are spending anywhere from 15+ min just to gain access and this is being nice. Today alone, I have been trying to log in since 10am this morning and still cannot gain access.

    I have several friends who are interested in this game and I just don't know what to tell them, I cannot at this time refer this game to them in this state nor would I. Go spend your hard earned money on something you can play.

    From a service standard don't even think about handing customers 7 free days, that's garbage. You messed up and are wasting people's time. The standard I hold myself (and I am in a service industry) for each day you waste of a customers you not only need to refund them that day but award them something. You need to bring that customer loyalty back, this means it costs something to you. Refunding the days people lost is just giving back what users lost, your not giving them a reason to stick around at this point. I am not going to suggest policy to SE but from my standpoint. The decisions to sub past 30 days will determined by the effectiveness of how they deal with this problem.

    If I am not mistaken they said a server fix was coming for this week so customers expect that they can log in without issues next week (I believe that expectation was set) and secondly they expect recompense for poorly delivered service. It any of this is delivered poorly I can see it greatly effecting the retention rate of this releases after 30 days beyond what SE already expects to lose (and I am sure they have done the calculations).

    CrisGer, as much as I agree with you, I have to say you are wasting your time. There is no getting through to these people. Solid facts don't matter, because they can only accept that which makes them madder. The mob mentality has already taken over, and it will only subside once everything is fixed. After that, the slightest glitch will set off another wildfire of hate and discontent. It doesn't matter that the issue is being worked on, making the flood of complaints pointless. It doesn't matter that that flood is making these forums almost useless. It doesn't even matter that such behavior is hurting those who actually come here for real help.

    They have an overwhelming need to slam their heads against a brick wall repeatedly, hoping a door will magically appear. Eventually, they will give up long enough to realize they can just walk around it. The trip will take time, but it will be worth it....

    People using the excuse 'NO I HAVE PAID FOR THIS IT SHOULD WORK' get a grip and grow up. I have PAID too but do you see me shouting or acting like a 10 year old when something doesnt work? Of course not. Just WAIT and see. SE are working on it. This games a success that wasnt anticipated.

    Surely once it gets sorted SE will put things right. Watch and see.

    You lack the ability to keep an open mind about the situation. You are taking this companies spoon feeding.

    Buying this game is like buying a shovel that wont dig. Would you happily accept a shovel that did not dig if you were the one who spent money on it? I dont think so... to help your insignificant brain cell count understand, here are a few more examples of what buying this game is like under the current situation.

    Like buying a video game you cant play
    Like buying a cup that wont hold liquid
    Like buying broom that cant sweep
    Like buying a spoon that cant spoon!
    Like buying a clock that cant keep time.

    The company has handled everything poorly. They should have been ready. Instead, we are all begrudgingly participating in what equates to phase 5 Beta testing.

    Yes, because acting like you're above the rest of these lowly rioting peasants is helping matters.

    I fully understand that their jobs will only get even harder as people get angrier but posts like this are what REALLY gets me mad. I'm not even that angry at SE for how they have handled this launch, just disappointed.

    You on the other hand are insufferable. You act like the players are mindless rebels who find any excuse to rage. On the contrary, we have been waiting an extra 3 years for them to rebuild a game with a massively failed launch. The beta was messy at best and the pre-release was a nightmare. I wanted to play all weekend and maybe got 3 hours of gameplay. They decided to still go through with the full release EVEN THOUGH they knew their servers couldn't even handle the current load. We paid for a game we cannot play, but worst of all we are not even being told WHY we can't play it. It's one thing to have lots of maintenance with updates on what is going on. It's another to act like there is no problem and keep people in the dark.

    Thank you Nenin, I saw they are working on the issue so I am satisfied in the sense that I actually know what is going on now "Officially" But the people telling everyone else to "grow up" are being ignorant. I love Final Fantasy as much as the next fan but I can see the issues for what they are and if people are paying than you can't sugar coat things and tell people to get over it. These threads are needed, if we weren't able to voice our concerns than nothing would change. If SE could not see what their mistakes are doing in some form, than no one would be compensated. I'm glad they are considering extending the free period for a week...if everyone listened to the people saying "Grow up, be patient, stop spamming the forums" than I highly doubt they would have even considered it.

    Any upset, I do not blame them, but to go around and keep making excuses as to why they seem to be dragging their feet is becoming more of the problem. I am upset and furious that after this long nothing has really been put into place except server restrictions which discourages players from even bothering anymore. So you are going to give players a free week or are considering it, for me do not even bother I will just take a relic weapon voucher at this point or how about 1k tomestones or something that has a guaranteed effect for me in game, not how about another week and maybe things will work after Wednesdays maintenance. Bottom line it really is unacceptable, they say they have a fix but it will not be until Wednesday(really why not now, nothing can really get any worse).
