Crescent don't bother you will always have people who say the class is fine when its clearly not even the person who made that knowing the summoner topic and admitted they do lower damage than the other dps classes and they are not meant to be dps but support. You know how funny that sounds?

Who the hell rolls a dps class to be support? Heck bard has support skills yet they still do crazy dps and the pets suck. I picked summoner for the pets not to play a poor mans warlock/necromancer.

Plus who's idea was it to make the dots 15-30 seconds? Considering the nature of the endgame fights you need to be able to put out damage quickly.
