U seriously just need to stop and think about something for a second. In those games you are talking about the japanese playerbase is a big minority so they don't get the immediate attention. Idc if they are a japanese company because their game is being funded predominantly by the NA/EU audience. By doing what they are doing they are leaving their majority playerbase behind. Do you mind explaining why you're assuming that the majority of the playerbase is NA/EU?

The majority of the playerbase in 1.0 was Japanese, and looking at sales of every single final fantasy game ever, the majority is located in Japan.

Because it is? Our servers filled up far more quickly and the numbers being thrown around the internet all the numbers put the NA/EU playerbase out in front by a rather large margin. Anybody with characters on jp servers can make easy visible observations of the difference in playerbase. Xi was a niche title before MMOs were huge and had a year to build their jp playerbase before even being introduced to the west. Now it is a much different story. MMOs draw a much larger NA/EU audience. I would be willing to bet money on NA/EU being the largest playerbase, unless they all start to leave from being ignored that is. So ya who knows this game could end up being a jp niche title again I guess

So basically you're talking out of personal perception with absolutely no data to back it up. Ok.

Our servers didn't fill up faster. They simply had problems because the datacenter is newer and less tested, while the Japanese datacenter ran semi-smoothly for three years, with personnel that already knows the machines very well.

You can bet all the money you want. And you'll probably lose it. Final Fantasy is massively more popular in Japan than in the west, as every previous FF title demonstrated, including MMORPGs.

I'm sure it's hard to cope with the fact that for once we aren't the center of the gaming world, but it may very well be a learning experience.

In any case it doesn't really matter much. This is a Japanese game, operated by a Japanese company from Japan, so it's entirely normal that communication will come in Japanese first. We should already be thankful that we're getting things as timely as we do, as the norm for games operated from Asia is getting them months later, with patches extremely late, and almost no communication at all.
