Who's saying this is VII-2 anyways Col? Just cause they wanna use one single name from 7 doesn't mean squat! FF's are known for their constant reuse of terms and other such things, this is no different... Yoshi is making this game into a actual FINAL FANTASY unlike Tanaka who wanted basically EVERYTHING different except for those that needed to be changed or added upon... like races *facepalm* If you don't like one final fantasy game using idea's or terms from another then you should quit while you're ahead xD Simple as that! LoL

All of what you said was completely correct and was the point I was trying to make.

I've seen a LOT of people saying "This is FFXIV, not FFXI-2!" as a response to whenever someone mentions an aspect or feature of FFXI that they think should return in FFXIV(yes even to things as stupid as using the same name for something). My post was to mock those people and show them how it's stupid to say that.

If it's good/fun idea and could fit into, or even make FFXIV better, why NOT include it? Who cares if it was in a past FF game; it's okay to reuse ideas, and you could even expand upon them to make it better. FFXIV trying to be so unique is what made this mess in the first place.

I see what you did there xD Hehe Just took it serious cause that's a very serious and often used response to EVERYTHING. Just like your example of FF XI-2, gets really old when people use that and like minded responses haha... and ya 100% agree with you^^
