Read the license agreements etc. Just because your "paying" to use this service dose not mean you have the right to demand anything from it.
You do not own or part own anything you are paying for other than a useless game DVD sold to you in a box(if that). You are just paying for the opotunity / chance to play this game as and when SE deem it so.

If you cant understand that then maybe you should not be playing this type of game at all.....

There is a "reasoning" behind people raging like that, because well at the end of the day they paid. But there should be a limit to overreaction. I admit I was irritated by some events pre and post launch but tbh they are trying and the launch has been relative ok (imo). In any case people should calm down because this game is wonderful and as everyone knows games like this will be based on its community... so lets try to be a decent one.

To all you fanboys still defending SE, you are officially idiots. In beta you said "it's a beta, these things happen, wait for launch".
At launch (early access, which was advertised as the full retail product [ironically, it now seems that's what we got]) you said "early access is just beta p5, wait until the 27th to bitch". Wrong again kids.
Now that the 27th has come and gone and we've seen literally no progress made on there issues, you're saying we have no right to complain until the end of our first 30 days.

So, using your reasoning, you'd be totally fine if SE decided to never let you, and only you, play the game again, because you Imagined up some part of the TOS about SE reserving the right to deny service and they held you to it.

This is close to how I feel about the subject. Yes people have valid complains but if you approach the subject with a calm mind and a bit of self control I guarantee the Devs will want to respond faster to the problem. Stop beating your chest and giving ultimatums. Neither I nor anyone else done their best work with someone screaming at them. To the so called white knights please stop trying to invalidate these complaints. Yes people are angry. You are inflaming the problem. Please just try to remind your fellow gamers that yes I understand you are angry and have the right to be so. Then ask them to show restrain in asking for help with this problem because you still catch more flies with honey then you do vinegar. Good will goes a long way all from all sides of this problem. I just ask that we all treat everyone else here how we would like to be treated if the roles were reversed.

I do not know if you just have not played MMO's for very long or not...

I've seen my fair share of launches, though three of those games you mention launched almost a decade ago in 2001 (AO), 2003 (SWG) and 2004(WoW). we have progressed since then you know. And again neither of those games closed the servers so you couldn't even try the game. Yes they lagged, restarted and hade broken quests but they allowed you to log in whenever didn't they. Fuck, I'd prefer if I could play the game now on a EU-server with some lags and restarts and broken quests but I'm told to wait indefinetly instead. That's what annoys me to no end, and the game launched the 24th has not been working properly since then.

I'm not sure what your intention is with this thread. It is a known issue. To vent here is akin to pandering, and only serves to color you as one of the few that this game will benefit from -not- having around.

Consider these facts:

- Launches are historically flawed.
- - This is an "acceptable" practice in this field. Mainly because "Launch" server capacity isn't indicative of -actual- capacity (say, a few months down the road). As this is as much a business model as it is an entertainment platform, there is more of a focus on long-term server stability, as opposed to short-term stability.
- - Consider a "return-on-investment" mindset. Should we spend a relatively large sum of money on a short-term fix; only to be stuck with that overhead once the flood has receded? - Or, should we focus those resources on long-term stability, development, etc.?

These posts are similar to a child screaming, "I want it NOW!" Please, be more constructive.

MMO launches suck because of people like YOU. We are paying customers who are being denied what we paid money for, not screaming children. I would call the police if I were at a store and they refused to give me what I just paid for. People like you are the immature ones here who would let someone crap all over them just to play their GAME. Gamers are customers too, act like it and YOU stop acting like a child. Just sit in the corner and be quiet little Jonny and I will buy you some candy. Give me a break with this high horse holier than thou crap.

Rift had the very same issue at launch and was pumping out a new server every 20 minutes so people could play. Rather they do that then figure the rest out later.

Man, you are angry, we get it and up to a point you are right. The only thing we say (some of us) is that all launches of mmo's have hiccups... Saying that does not mean approving it, but accepting it as a fact. If you think that SE want to lose money from a title launch so much awaited then I fold...

Holy hell I have seen it all now lol. If you pay for a service you may not be entitled to dictate the contents of that service.....but you ARE entitled to THE SERVICE itself. Everyone here can demand a refund from their credit card company today for denial odf service and they will get it. You are ALWAYS entitled to receive what you pay for. Where do you people come from? No wonder MMO companies do this, they know they can because there are enough of you out there to allow it.
