You could just use the dropdown where it says English (US) and choose English (US) again and it should correctly point to NA instead of EU.The only way to currently keep it as NA in all possible locations, is to not close the page after saving it and open second page to enter the code. Now it has been working hit and miss with some, but I have 2 friends currently locked out with EU code that happen after the supposed fix.
Temporary solution. I did this a few hours ago out of desperation and frustration from wasting a few hours of my life trying to contact live chat and phone support just to be cut off the line and told that there's nobody there to talk to me in chat (why the hell did you make me queue for then?). Like what Eder said, once the retail keys start rolling out a day or two before the launch on the 27th, we will still get region locked to EU because the retail codes are sort of known to be region locked just like this early access debacle.
TY for sharing this with the others though ^^
That's why you do what I said.![]()
I have an EU code when I was trying to get an NA code.
Support keeps going down so I can contact them, i'd trade codes if I could.

Greenmangaming should of given you an NA code if you placed an order in NA. Their service is region specific. Log in on your GMG account and check the region of the game, what does it say? Do a manual search for Final Fantasy XIV. Does it say the title without (NA)?
The e-mail sent to me was said:
Please go here - http://preorder.eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/us - to redeem the pre-order code you received when you purchased the game.
What did yours say?
If you go to http://na.square-enix.com/us/, profile, settings, then in basic setting set country and language and save, in extended settings set country and save, then it should not go back to UK.
I can pretty much confirm that the profile language thing has nothing to do it with it. 3 of the 4 codes I put in, it was on English (UK), the other English (US). The one it was on English (US), I got a EU code. I got 1 EU code and 2 NA codes while it was on English (UK).
Yes, from that link it works fine.If you go to http://na.square-enix.com/us/, profile, settings, then in basic setting set country and language and save, in extended settings set country and save, then it should not go back to UK.
I am talking about the preorder page. If you click on your profile from that page, even with everything saved to NA, the flag in the bottom left corner reverts to English(UK) and that is the glitch in there site I am referring to. In my original post I stated this was to have all possible location set to US/NA
Now, that being said, my account is fine. I am a legacy player that is re-rolling to play with RL friends on a new server. I have EA ready to go.
I am trying to help two of those friends get there issues fixed while they are at work. One we have been able to get set up using the above method, the other bought a physical copy from his local gamestop and has not had the chance to cancel his preorder yet.
Yeah, tbbh, its all speculation at this point till someone from SE actually comes out and explains why this is happening, the chances of that are slim to none.I can pretty much confirm that the profile language thing has nothing to do it with it. 3 of the 4 codes I put in, it was on English (UK), the other English (US). The one it was on English (US), I got a EU code. I got 1 EU code and 2 NA codes while it was on English (UK).
With all the issues during 1.0, I was really hoping they would have there house in order to facilitate a smooth launch...
