I have an EU code when I was trying to get an NA code.
Support keeps going down so I can contact them, i'd trade codes if I could.

You know what, when all's said and done, things could be worse... we could be limited to 3 posts per 24 hours in this foru..<bzzt>you have been logged off
Would be better to cancel the preorder to whoever gave you the bogus code, then preorder some place that will give you a correct one.
That's why you do what I said.![]()

Greenmangaming should of given you an NA code if you placed an order in NA. Their service is region specific. Log in on your GMG account and check the region of the game, what does it say? Do a manual search for Final Fantasy XIV. Does it say the title without (NA)?
The e-mail sent to me was said:
Please go here - http://preorder.eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/us - to redeem the pre-order code you received when you purchased the game.
What did yours say?
I can pretty much confirm that the profile language thing has nothing to do it with it. 3 of the 4 codes I put in, it was on English (UK), the other English (US). The one it was on English (US), I got a EU code. I got 1 EU code and 2 NA codes while it was on English (UK).
Yeah, tbbh, its all speculation at this point till someone from SE actually comes out and explains why this is happening, the chances of that are slim to none.I can pretty much confirm that the profile language thing has nothing to do it with it. 3 of the 4 codes I put in, it was on English (UK), the other English (US). With all the issues during 1.0, I was really hoping they would have there house in order to facilitate a smooth launch...
The ironic thing is the launch of 1.0 actually went pretty smoothly. The game was just awful. lol. Kind of the reverse happening now.Yeah, tbbh, its all speculation at this point till someone from SE actually comes out and explains why this is happening, the chances of that are slim to none.

Oh the days spent running around 5-10 minutes between mobs outside the gates of Lima...but I digress...
Back to the topic at hand. My second friend has made it to Gamestop and canceled his original preorder. While on his way out the door, he preordered from Amazon and got the 18 digit EA code almost immediately. We have since enter that code following the aforementioned post and he is now set for EA with the correct region.
Good luck to all those still fighting (Nightmare Mode) Wrong Region boss...
