I like the idea of having most of those classes in XIV, if they would give them some very unique skills at least, and make the animations a lot better.

Seeing the same animation for most skills (on my lancer) has gotten a little tiring.
I was looking forward to having fencer put in the game, since it would be a sword class that isn't a tank (so it seems)
I'm not the best tank, but i do love my swords.
I agree, I was wondering if we could have a sword class without a shield. Gladiator's description mentions that some just work on the sword alone, but as my guildmates mention: "you're missing out on free sp!"
