the review is dead on. this game has been out 6 months and he gave a review of what has been released at 6 months after release. they can say this and that is coming, but at the rate things are being added we may be getting a 5 year review and still none of these changes are implemented.

the fact is in 6 months there have been very few things added that will bring in new players nor give a reason for the players here now to stay. yoshi was thrown into i ship with a leak and instead of working on fixing the holes he is running the whole ship into a mountainside to assist it in sinking.

explanations do not change the fact that this review is about the game 6 months after release. it's hard for a reviever to give a review on items that are not implemented yet anymore than we can say how great/horrid they are until we play it.

I agree. What we have is what we can play. The pipe-dreams of SE do sound nice but we can't really know if they make the game good or not until we see them. The fact that none of that stuff is yet in the game makes me wonder how long we have to wait to see something substantial.

Yes. My comment was as to how you figured 'at this rate' it takes them 5 years to fix the game, when you don't even know what 'this rate' is before all the content they have been working on is implemented.

At this point it's not even some blind hope that all the fixes we have gotten so far does not create the big picture, and there is more left in store. It has been officially stated.

At this point it's not even some blind hope that all the fixes we have gotten so far does not create the big picture, and there is more left in store. It has been officially stated.

and at this rate refers to in 6 months we have had nm's nerfed, party sizes dropped from 15 to 8, wards tweaked a little, sp increased, behests dropped from 1hour to 30 min, bigger animations on spells, sidequests added, a few new low level nm's, and a few other minor things. i made the 5 year statement as in we do not know when the major fixes will come because we do not know a time table. they may be next month or next year or 5 years from now as far as that goes.

all i was saying is this person gave a review of the game at this point, which is 6 months after release, with what they seen so far added and fixed in the game. next month the review may have completely changed with massive updates, but they cannot review that additions until they have been added to the game. i don't know then the changes will come anymore than you do so alot of the changes may take a month and then again they may take years to get to them. that is something we will just have to wait and see.

We do know the timetable. The timetable is essentially "the major rehauls come in two parts, with the first battle rehaul arriving in Spring and the second one a few months later". There's not much of Spring left, which is why they might as well waited a couple more weeks. I can see how they didn't know of SE's plans though, and if they did they probably would have waited, so too bad.

and it was also stated the new content would come after the overhaul and balancing of the new system. is the system going to be perfect when it is first implemented? no, i doubt it will be and have to take months of rebalancing of them then the next part and more rebalancing.

that is what i was refering to on a timetable of when they get everything implemented and everything balanced out to make it work properly, be enjoyable, and give an honest review of the additions. that timetable could be a long way from the few months after spring. with the way stuff has been added i would be almost willing to bet it will be.

the group could prove me wrong and that i truly hope happens. i enjoy the game which i play alot, but would love to see all these grand things put in place not just a few minor things here and there that some work well and others are horrible.
