Say yes to Cross-world group finder

My vote is that they (SE) try this system out on the new "test servers" and that they "invite" peeps from different servers/worlds to try it out and give some feedback. It it works and peeps like it, patch it in, otherwise forget about it and don't waste too much time on it.

I'm all for anything that is fun that a large enough percentage of the playerbase enjoys, even if I don't.

On a side note I would like to comment on a constant (and growing) trend on these forums that I find disturbing. I see alot of "I want this" and/or "I don't want that" which is fine, esp since they asked for our opinions but there is so much rage in many peeps posts that I think we all need to remember the words of Mick Jaeger/Kieth Richards...

"...you can't always get what you want...and if ya try sometimes...ya just might find...ya get what ya need..."

Ultimately we will get the FFXIV that they give us (evolving of, course) and it will most likely contain content that some enjoy but some do not. It is a big virtual world and there is room for content for every kind of player.

HANDS DOWN! i vote yes.... there is no reason not to have dungeon finder system and cross server... if you dont like it dont use it but having the option there is what it is....an option....why would you people NOT want more things implimented in the game your only limiting yourself and the game by not having more functions in this game right now...

Which I think is smarter, why bitch about something before you know how it's going to work? Sure we have an idea of how it might work because of WoW. I say look at trying to improving the system, implement it, if it works keep it or if everyone hates it then get rid of it. I do see both sides of the argument, I just don't want people blowing this off because how it works in another game. If we work together to think of ideas to make cross-server groups less detrimental to the community then I think it could work. We could have a player karma system, if see a player with bad karma then you're less likely to group up with them or have harsher penalties for players that drop the party and etc.

sorry but....... you prob don't know how strict their work/ schooling is.
You try having to go to school 6 days a weel till 6pm. with only 1 mnth breaks between semesters. Also with the possibility of having to get a job @ the age of 14 just to afford to go to high school. (which you must pay for public or privet)

wiki is your friend. Most jp see the game as just a game. Where ppl over here don't for the most part. If ppl saw this as a game, we wouldn't have half the wars over additions. I read a few jp posts they post way nicer (agree or dissagree) then most ppl here.

It's not smarter to wait for something bad to happen and only bitch afterwards. This isn't some amazing magical never before seen feature that we have no idea how it's going to work. And they do this with everything, regardless of what it is. Change is announced, nothing. Change goes live, bitching starts. It's too late at that point, and it could have been improved before the implementation if the community simply made clear that they do not like it's current manifestation.

Granted, the Japanese have gotten better at not finding unacceptable things acceptable. Sadly they still don't seem to make their opinion heard.

stuff like this can be removed if the need for it is great. You know not everyone play @ "peak" times. in ffxi even before the servers pops whent down, ppl played in odd times. Where it is harder t find a grouo to do much of anything. With you not wanting it, your skrewing over those people.

Thats a perfect example of why it's bad to not complain and just let them add it. It took what 6 months of fighting after it was implemented to get it taken out?

Wasted time and effort if it ends up being something the majority of the community doesn't want in the first place.

Cross-world partying would be an instant quitting flag for me. The system is already mindless as it is, remove the actual possibility for socialization with people from your server and there is nothing left of value.
Level-synch + bigger server population will solve every partying problem, so let's not be childish.
A cross-world system would also help RMTs to progress by mingling with normal players.
