I had many groups in FF11 that didn't know how to play, that AFK multiple times for long periods, hell I remember getting a group to do Promy-V it took me like 4 hours and then 1 of the people AFK'd and didn't come back.

That's what happens when you play with other people, shit happens.

People always go on about how good the community was in 11 and yea it wasn't bad, but it was no frikkin picnic either, elitism ran wild everywhere and if your class wasn't in the select few you were SOL.

I think if SE want to encourage casuals then it makes perfect sense to make the game as accessible as possible, which probably included cross server/world party systems.
