Here is a link to all pricing information. The upgrade to collector's edition is $20 $19.99
For the point of the OP you can get the pre-order perks. You can pay $30 ($29.99) for it. Don't want to do that because you think the extra copy of the disk is pointless? I don't know what to tell you. I'm pre-ordering a CE editions to get all the goodies. I'm even legacy and get everything but pre-order items and physical items anyway. Then again I don't actually buy games all that often so a 1 time of $70 is ok to me to get all the stuff offered.
For those who keep asking about how pre-ordering a new version when you already have the 1.0 version works. If you pre-order ANY copy standard or CE you can apply the code to your EXISTING Square Enix account. The one you log into here https://secure.square-enix.com/accou...quest=accffxiv
You can only apply the codes to ONE Square Enix account. So if you want to start a new account and want the items on that account you will not be able to apply them to your already existing square enix account. If you apply them to your existing account...... well in 1.0 the game registration was a separate code than item code registration. So if that rings true you can apply the item code to your existing account and still have a separate game account. But items are ONE account only. Considering you have until Dec 31, 2013 to apply the item code I would say that pretty much guarantees the game registration code is separate from the item code. So you can apply items to existing account and not waste game code if you want to start a separate account to dual box.
I hope I said that in enough ways so it's clear enough :3
The best bang for your buck is if you want to play on both platforms on the same account. You get the PS3 version of the game and get all the items.
