    Been reading up on Gun Mage from FFX-2 as I did not recall their Blue Bullets abilities. 16 abilities in all, which will probably closely correspond with the total number of abilities we'll get by level 50.

    Each Blue Bullet ability needs to be learned from a certain monster type, which could easily be folded into a class quest. Every 5 levels, go to X and fight Y until you learn Z.

    Blue Bullet abilities:
    1. Fire Breath
    2. Seed Cannon
    3. Stone Breath
    4. Absorb
    5. White Wind
    6. Bad Breath
    7. Mighty Guard
    8. Supernova
    9. Cry in the Night
    10. Drill Shot
    11. Mortar
    12. Annihilator
    13. Heaven's Cataract
    14. 1000 Needles
    15. Storm Cannon
    16. Blaster

    Sorry to be out of the loop but where was it mentioned that there'd be two DoM guilds in Limsa?

    Gun Mage would be awesome. I only tend to stick to magic classes and I was toying with the idea of whether I would use Musketeer or not if it was implemented. This would certainly push me over the edge!

    Whatever job SE chooses for musketeer class, wouldn't Merlwyb be one?

    Also, I kind of like the idea of a job that isn't in FFXI, as long as it plays well. Nothing wrong with adding FFXI jobs, tho.

    Yoshi-P mentioned that he'd like to see another DoM class, in addition to Arcanist. The quote that Duuude has, Yoshi-P asked which of the three choices people would like to see. One of the choices was Caster class (Ranged DD and Debuff) and since Limsa has a Musketeer guild, we're speculating that Gun Mage would be the job that would best fit the Ranged DD and Debuff role.

    Oooh so it's not 100% confirmed yet? I do remember reading about the poll. If you have any quotes that'd be awesome! I don't doubt you but it'd be good for people like me who are a bit behind.

    Nothing is confirmed. Just lots of speculation on our part. Of any potential class, Musketeer is the only unimplemented one that has a guild in-game that's why I think it's the most obvious next class.

    I really do hope they keep to the unofficial 3 DoW/DoM guilds per city rule. That way, any new class will means a brand new city and region to explore! Personally, I'd rather see Sharlayan than Ishgard but people have been craving to enter Ishgard since v1.0. And Ishgard does exist as a backdrop in the game, which is more than can be said for Sharlayan or Ala Mhigo.

    There are a couple of pieces of concept art for cities that haven't been implemented yet, really excited to see what'll become of them!

    Personally I'm after Ishgard, but that's my San d'Orian heritage coming through. I love the idea of the Archbishop and the Holy See, and a cathedral castle city sounds beautiful.

    Anyway sorry to derail! Gun Mage would be a brilliant evolution of the Musketeer. A lot of people want Blue Mage too and it'd cover both bases. I'm personally in support of Bard being an Archer, but I have to agree I would like to see more instruments. Jobs can be combined well but you still have to live up to both fanbases!

    One of the biggest reasons I brought this up is the guild & lore presence- It would be much simpler to implement, to fill this niche role.
    And jack of all tradesers are notoriously useless in MMORPGs. if someone else can do what you do better, everyone will go with that instead. only rarely does it usually come into play where you need the jack of trades class, specifically to get bits and pieces of a role that you couldn't otherwise fit into your party setup with X number of party members.
