If you want a remake to sell, the original must have sold well too. What's the point of remaking a game that failed the 1st time ?

As for the PC rerelease, do you really think new players wanted to play a 16-year old game on their full HD power PC ?

By the way...Dragon Quest VII was a far better selling Playstation game in Japan than FF VII, and DraQue is a far greater cult there too. But they don't deem it too risky to do a remake.

And if DraQue X and FF Type-0 prove one thing, it's that they're totally fine at aiming only the japan market for ensuring sales.
