I whole point is that the gear is rare no matter what level you are. The point of an NM is you have to actually try for more than 15 minutes to get something not just roll up and have a "challenging fight" and get it.

That seem to be better top of that there all very casual the 3-5min is not right when the mobs around have longer repop time.
I guess it all depends on what you definitions as low-rank, med-rank, and high-rank.

    Currently, the highest rank is 50. Adding a ten-rank spread, that makes high-rank = 40-50. Working backwards, mid-rank is 25. Adding a ten-rank spread with 25 as the midpoint makes mid-rank = 20-30. Low-rank would be anything below 20.

This is all just my opinion, though. Others may have different definitions in there mind of what it means to be high & low rank. However the case, it will be difficult to have a discussion if we don't know what each of us means when we use certain terms.

In any case, I think 2 hours should be the absolute maximum respawn time for the highest rank NMs. Any longer than that, you make those NMs practically inaccessible to any player that works 9-5 and has children ... no matter their rank.

That would imply the drop rate on said item is 100% which they are not. Currently 0/4 on PGL claws from cactuar jack, someone else that was camping him was 0/17. As far as I know the rest of the NM's have equally abysmal drop rates. At the end of the day I would rather try the fight more often with lower drop rates (keeping it rare) than trying once every 2-3 hours with a higher drop rate with the chance of losing claim and waiting yet another cycle.

But thats what they want. Only people able to dedicate 6+ hours of their day to the game are allowed to even see those NM's. Just to be, once again, unique snowflakes.

What is a good game to you? Everyone getting everything no matter how much they play?

OH MY GOD 0/17?? That is so horrible! It might have actually took you more than an hour to get what you want!! How could SE do this????!??!?! OMG!!>!?!>!>!>

If you think anything in this game is "rare" you're out of your mind.

When you say "try" do you mean "wait"? I'm not being sarcastic, I'm actually honestly asking. I just want to know.

I'm my opinion, NMs are more about the "challenging fight". If your party wins that fight they get the spoils.

I guess one could argue that the spoils become more psychologically valuable if you had to wait an excessive period of time before you had a chance to fight and get those spoils. Personally, "waiting" seems a more illusionary achievement than actually defeating the NM. But that's just me.

I know this wasn't directed at me but I'm going to answer it anyway! A good game to me is a fun game that involves challenge. I don't care if I get the drop on my first run or my 100th run as long as it's fun. I also don't care if my items are rare or not. I'm not so emotionally needy that I MUST be the only one to have a certain item. Fun has nothing to do with how rare my gear is, it has to do with how fun it is to play the game.

Everything being accessible to people, even if they can't devote 6+ hours a day to the game. There is a difference.

Only people walking around with the new stuff are people who get extremely lucky with drop rates, or have spent considerable time getting it. These are after all mid-level NM's, your statement a couple posts back, "that it should take more than 15 minutes" (your words here) is definitely happening the majority of the time i'm sure.

However we are planning to introduce new notorious monsters with more devastating strength and a complete new look in the future. We will give you an update once more details become available so please look forward to it!
Great post Gildrein and now hopefully the majority wanting a challenge will cool off. However, the hardcore(niche group) probably won't and will just cry more and more. Bring out the warm milk because it's time to put these babies to sleep.

@Sorel enough with the unique snowflakes bull???? not everyone else thinks that way so stop using it that way.

how many god dam time i have to say they could make a bcnm version with a good drop rate that is a non rare,ex version then hardcore players would go for the rare,ex version which at the end it the dam same item so both get what they want. they can even do it so ls don't make mess up rules that you can't get the item you want yourself they can even make it as low as 2-3 members.

So enough with the complaining ppl and stop with the snowflake thing it's really rude -.-

A lotto spawn. A longer timed spawn. Anything that makes actually getting to fight the NM a nice surprise.

This doesn't make an items rares.

Defeating anything doesn't mean anything. Everyone can do it. No matter how strong something is everyone will be able to do it after someone figures it out. It doesn't make anything rare.

And how matter how "rare" a drop it is after it's killed just means the same people are going to camp it for a month rather then a week.

And why is this? Because you want everyone to have everything without trying.

And what do you want later on? Missions like we have now that anyone can do? To reach this game's "sky" or "sea" and have NMs with instant repop that drop pop item for harder NMs?

Anyone could access anything XI. There was nothing ever telling anyone if you have to play 6 hours at once to do this.

It should take more than 15 minutes to even see NM. Not get the drop for yourself and everyone else in your party.

It really doesn't matter how "challenging" anything is or how easy it is to get anything. No matter what someone is going to get something before you and be better then you.
