I like frog
Heavily. I personally specialize drg/lnc. I do whm and blm because people always need more healing or nuking. I'm not saying that it can't happen, of course, it's just I ran into a lot of people that can't do any jobs well. For them, getting all the jobs to a level was more a bragging right/achievement than playing a game. My party that beat "to kill a raven", at that time, most of us only had 1 job leveled to 50. I think me and the other whm were the only exceptions. Now those players (you know who you are ~.^), it was an honor to do climb to and past raven with them. ^^b
One of the reason I loved XI and XIV over other MMO's is that I could play all the jobs on one char. I really would hate to have to make a char for each job. NO THANKS!!! ^^
Because I have a different opinion than yours? You have a pretty distorted idea of what a troll is, my friend. As I stated in this thread, I just wanted to hear the opinions of others. This is, after all the general "discussion" board.

I have the opposite problem. A character that does everything is an impossibility in the role-playing sense. Well, that and I come up with character concepts for fun. From a roleplaying perspective, making alts as such makes much more sense to me than having one character that can do everything.

* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)
i hate all the other mmo's where you have to reroll. one character makes it more personal, it gives you a better community and bond with players. as for just wanting less people with the option to not need you then i say ..lol screw that. some people will level all jobs. just don't play with them, i think that is the biggest reason people want to be different then others in mmo's. guess what, having everything leveled is the difference.
Well yeah I enjoy having a defined character. Out of the fanmade graphic novel I'm doing my main character is purely a Summoner and I like having characters that will stick to one job but in-game I like to try and get everything. XDI have the opposite problem. A character that does everything is an impossibility in the role-playing sense. Well, that and I come up with character concepts for fun. i agree, it's too late for them to fix it while the level cap is still 50, but once the cap increases if they slow down leveling to where it will be you will see less people getting all classes ranked to the next level cap. that's why i said post level cap increase. at 50 yoshi pretty much screwed that up just as bad as he possibly could have but it could still be fixed in arr after the level cap increase.too bad it is too late for a lot of us who capped everything. doesnt much matter how much faster or slower they make lvling, except on alts.
Its also much too late for SE to concider 1 job per character. They would have effectively wasted a lot of peoples time spent leveling everything. I wouldn't have cared which way they went if they did it from the beginning, but its not going to change now.
what i look at is the amount of all capped classes will drop by attrition if they slow down the leveling curve.
let's say at r50 you have everything capped.
at cap at 55 you go from all classes capped to all but 3.
at cap increase to 60 you don't get 3 of those classes to cap.
at cap of 65 you don't get 3 of those capped.
at cap of 70 you don't get 3 of those capped.
just using that attrition due to slower leveling and massive sp increases to level you have went from everything capped to having 12 classes that aren't capped by level 75. by the time you got to the eventual cap of 99 you would only have a few classes at cap, but by that point you would have played long enough to know what class/classes you want to concentrate on. sure, there would be some people that played like crazy and was able to get all classes capped even with slower leveling and higher increases in sp to level, but they would be rare in each server and not like it is now with a big percentage having everything at cap.
