hey, so this thread got me thinking about how to help support the FFXIV project and if you guys are interested, I think buying "Eorzean Frontiers" on iTunes is a pretty good way to show some love to the FFXIV team
https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/fi...an/id556797794
I bought it last night because I missed listening to some of the music, just thought I'd share with those of you who want to help out and get nothing in return, lol
At least now you get some music and you can show Soken some love too
I still want that Meteor Survivor shirt though!
My thoughts exactly. Thank you Lady, you're awesome.Hey guess what... waiting for a beta to come out is a first world problem too. Reading posts you don't like and critcise by calling it a "first world problem" is also a First World Problem....
Really hate that phrase... like I'm suppose to be ashamed I'm not oppressed in some way.
I wouldn't mind at all even without the extra benefits just to support the development. I played the whole first year for free so I can't complain. Love the game and the direction plus what's 10 bucks a month per account, I spend more for a combo from Five Guys lol!Hypothetically if SE offered an option for you to continue paying for FFXIV services while it's down for the ARR transition & offered bonuses (other than the Legacy ones), would you have chosen to do so?
I know it's too late for SE to offer it, and not like they would but I think it merits an interesting discussion topic.
I for one would have taken the offer. Whatever bonuses they could have concocted would look nice next to my Legacy bird.
You didn't state it, but there isn't any other reason'motivation to pay for a game you can't play. SE isn't bankrupt yet and doesn't need charity to get the game done.
If you want bonus items or something like that, they can offer stuff like that without something as silly as "pay the subscription fee until the game is released to get a reward."
After 1.0's launch I suggested SE open a donation line for players who wanted to monetarily support them. Back then I had a stable job to honestly do so also, and though I like the idea now, I don't have the stability to donate atm.
I never really understood corporate worship. Go 'Murica.
Hypothetically speaking? No.
Figuratively speaking? No.
Practically speaking? No.
TL;DR - No.
Common Sense is a language most misunderstood on the continent of the MMOForum
That is a good idea too. I was never suggesting SE even do it. I was seriously just proposing a "what if" topic. Nothing more than that. I don't think it's silly either & you're entitled to your opinion too but personally I feel it unnecessary to criticize other's opinion. That goes for many of you.
Some of you like to call those of us who would be willing to pay while the game is down idiots. Just know that even when my opinion differs from yours I will give you the respect you deserve, even if you don't give it in return.
