Free Company Message Board

Hello,

i want to share an idea for FC Houses.

Introducing the Message Board:
Would it be possible to place "Message Boards" inside of the Free Company Houses ?
It would be the information center for all FC member. As a leader you would be able to pass specific members the rights to post messages to the board.

Uses:

- post complete raid schedules online and ingame!! weekly, monthly w/e ...
- post raid drops to the board
- post ls / fc rules to the board
- post important announcements to the board
- post changes to your ls/ fc structure to the board

All those information would be accessible even if there is no leader or officer online.

Sounds pretty cool. Not having more info makes it tough to decide what we do and don't need though. I know it was mentioned or requested to add messages back on the Linkshell side when you log into ARR like we had in XI and is available in other MMOs. Wonder if there will be a huge difference to facilitate needing a FC message board and the LS messages?

kind of redundant since so many people already use 3rd party. Guildwork.com has a robust dkp and raid tracker. it would be nice, but i'd prefer the UI team focus on something more pressing.

I thought the same thing since our website has the ability to do this as well but, in keeping with the fact some people/Linkshells don't pay for these types of amenities, it's a valid request. I also agree it's not pressing at all but a nice thought for the back of their minds to add later in a small patch.

imho, I think putting some sort of a message board IG will add to the immersion of the game. Instead of having to "leave" the game or rely on addons that notoriously break after every update. So i think this is a great idea, not a top priority idea, but something that would be nice to integrate eventually.

Agreed, but it's a lot easier/quicker/more obvious/more foot traffic if it's in the free company house. Rather than logging on, having no idea what's going on and checking an external website to find out what's up, it's easier and faster to be in the house or like a motd for the ls. It also would prevent data collision, where one message can one thing and another can say another (i.e. DD run on 01/01/2013 at 4pm, but the other source would say 5pm.) I would like to see this feature. It's not super important and can wait for a lot of the other GUI stuff to be done first, but I would like to see this feature.

Nice idea although I daresay that someone will come up with an add-on, if not the dev from guildwork himself that will link into the GW site.

Yeah probably.

It would be nice to have something embedded in the game world itself but ultimately third party stuff will be better and easier to use no doubt.

it will be great if it's not only place in our FC house, but also integrate this idea into both phone app/FC websie in future, let FC members:

- sign up for FC events
- check FC accomplishments
- vote for poll
- read announcements
