I am torn between buying the latest 27' iMac vs the 15.4' Macbook pro. I already have the previous generation 27' iMac so if I buy the Macbook Pro, can I use the 27' iMac as my monitor?

Can anyone give me some advice? As the new generation macs don't come with a dvd drive, anyone knows how to install windows on it?

I would personally spend half the money for a laptop with better specs, or spend the same amount for a PC that will leave any mac in the dust.

"a fool and his money are soon parted". also most animation and editing you see on TV (and elsewhere) at a professional level was done on a PC or high end graphics workstation, claiming that mac owns that market is just ignorant snobbery but i guess thats to be expected from someone trying to defend their asinine purchase

Two things I can tell you being a Mac owner who plays on a iMac and a retina pro.

You can download windows and put it on a USB drive and install it this way or you can get a USB DVD drive and use that. I downloaded windows and bootcamp did the rest for me.

Really new macs don't have dvd drive? I thought that was only the case for the mac book air
