Forgot to add. If you buy this at a Mac store and have your copy of windows. You can have it installed at the store before you leave they should do this for you for free ok the day of purchase

Seriously someone tell me what's so great about macs, they are freeBSD with a GUI anyone with half a knowledge of linux can make up, with inferior hardware and a marked up price.
What do you get when buying a mac except an OS that should be free with poor hardware compared to a PC for the price?

For the most part it just looks and feels better than using a pc. The track pad for the mac book pro truely is the best, it has nice built video and music software, the OS is much cheaper than windows, we can still always load windows if we have the os (would be nice if windows had that), and just has a very appealing appearance.Seriously someone tell me what's so great about macs, they are freeBSD with a GUI anyone with half a knowledge of linux can make up, with inferior hardware and a marked up price.

And all of that for almost twice the price. On subpar hardware. Neat. For the most part it just looks and feels better than using a pc. Just build a PC. You'll get more for less. Orrr if you want Mac so bad, you can just do a "Hackintosh" (Yeah, PCs kinda have that, too).

Hackintoshes are actually pretty cool. Not for the layperson to try though as they can be pretty complicated to set up. Word of warning, not all devices are supporting and getting drivers is a royal pain in the butt. So if you go this route, be sure to get the right hardware/driver combo.

Why? Because I Like them. What does it matter to you? Seriously, why should I or anyone else have to defend a computer purchase or use of personal money to you? No offense, but take your prejudice about system elsewhere. There's more to using a mac than just gaming. Some of us use the machine for high grade Arts production.Seriously someone tell me what's so great about macs, they are freeBSD with a GUI anyone with half a knowledge of linux can make up, with inferior hardware and a marked up price.

I use mine for heavy duty Music recording and processing. While I could do some of that on windows, I find the programs to be clutsy, not as widely accepted in the industry, and problematic as a whole. This has been my professional experience.. I gave windows a shot, it got shot down.
If anything, getting this game to work on multiple platforms other than just Windows/PS3 is great for this game because it will be more subs, more money, more development for the core of the game. So rather than harass someone over their choice, how about you forgo the ego trip eh?

I can understand the hardware based reasoning, you do need a trackpad that's nice to use, OSX sold by randomguy and fulfilled by Amazon is £89.99 (there are cheaper randomguy ones) and Windows 8 sold by Amazon is £43.19 sold by Amazon. For the most part it just looks and feels better than using a pc. You can always dualboot on Windows and run Linux or OSX if you want, and about the apperance it will take less than 30 mins to get that appearance on Linux, if you know the system, and a little more if you are new to Linux, anything Apple can do you can do on Linux because they are both Unix based (Apple use a complete FreeBSD lock it down to their liking, put a GUI on it and install their software)
I completely understand the high grade arts production, it's well known macs are better at that, what I was talking about are the people who just want a mac. They say OSX Rocks, when it is just a piece of software anyone can download for free and customize to their liking. (although a straight FreeBSD takes a lot of technical knowledge about Unix and the Unix terminal) Any Linux distro can be used for that. Why? Because I Like them. What does it matter to you? I just fail to understand the logic behind buying a mac for the looks (which can be added to any Linux distro in minutes) or for basic computing tasks, yes I understand that people prefer the trackpad or keyboard of Apple devices, or they use software that performs better on a mac (like high grade arts production) but these are in the minority, most people (from what I have seen) just say that macs are better than PCs with no justification when the facts are they are buying software that by all rights should be free and the hardware is over priced.
In fact I'll make OSU (OS Ubuntu) right now.
Its precisely because of economics that I choose a Mac. Throughout the years that I have owned a personal computing device, I have generally spent less on Macs than PCs. There's just too many hidden cost in PC ownership.Seriously someone tell me what's so great about macs, they are freeBSD with a GUI anyone with half a knowledge of linux can make up, with inferior hardware and a marked up price.

Big disclaimer to say that this is my own experience only.

The paid for software can be replaced by free alternatives on Windows, and if you install Linux you get most free, and not to mention hardware, if I want to play a game and I need a new graphics card to play, I need to pay about £200 for a new graphics card rather than a Mac where I would need to buy a new computer for around £1k.Its precisely because of economics that I choose a Mac. Oh and does anyone want to see my Macbuntu? Took me less than 1hr to make.
