Some additional thoughts/feelings after me playinbg some other mmos on this break...

I did the last things I needed to do on XI too. (Wings of the Goddess final missions, and Moogle kupo d'etat was the last things I needed) and I agree with you. I'll miss my automaton, (puppetmaster and blue mage are the only jobs I actively miss...) but I really, really, really don't like the look of Adoulin. Can't wait for ARR even more now.

Did you had any chance to do all the other mini scenarios? A crystaline prophecy and shantotto? If no, i strongly suggest you do. they are amazing!

I mill miss my summoner, the music and the overall cinematic feel of the game.
Finishing Wings of the Goddess reminded me how well this game does in presenting story.

I fail to see how GW2 is a "Wowclone"
I've played both, GW2 offers much more skill variety, eliminates the need for "pure tank" or "pure healer". If you don't move, you're getting hurt badly. All the quests in GW2, known as "Renowned Hearts" are what sets gw2 appart from traditional MMO quests, and each one of them has a little story to tell, where with WoW it was "accept, run to a spot, kill X mobs or find X drops, run back, accept more quests, etc etc etc"
GW2 even offers rewards for exploration, a wide variety of events and NPCs that makes the world somewhat of a "living world", a wide assortment of weapons that each have different skills for each class.
again, how is gw2 a "wowclone" when both games feel and are entirely different? Or is it just a loose term to describe MMOs these days?

By WoWized i dont mean a type of lets say "standard" but the lack of lore, story-telling, amazing CS etc etc.

oh then, you will not be disapointed, i bet that the story, cs, and lore will be amazing :P

For Wowized i mean the gameplay, it feels "wowized" without anydoubt.

Yes, I did! Moogle was the last one for me. I liked ACP a lot, but little things bugged me like using a reskinned Selh'teus as you-know-who-I-am-not-going-to-spoil-it. Shantotto Ascension was hilarious though. ToAU was my favourite "proper" expansion. Even CoP didn't get as good as ToAU for me. Finished Odin prime, Finished Alexander prime. Did Apocalypse Nigh for finalfinalfinal CoP and RoZ completion (and to finally save Lion. Poor girl's been gone for over 4 real life years on my machine, god knows what that is in Vana'diel years)

There's not too much to do now other than voidwatch (and I really can't be bothered with battle addons.) so I'm replaying FFIV on DS at the moment and juggling that between FF Dimensions for android. Dimensions is cute, but it sort of bothers me with how many scenarios are applied from other games and just slapped onto the new characters.

Your have very good points in GW2, but i dont know, the game does not seem that much appealing. And now that you mention it, it is not that much of a clone persay, but still feels "plain" I dont know how to describe it

What I DISLIKED alot about wow was the over abuse of "fetching quests"

Go there kill x mob bring N number of items
Go there kill N number of y mob

Repeat and repeat...

You never tried the EPL or WPL quest line? Im pretty sure is very unique story line
Ofcoz the generic quest is still there but i have to give credit to WoW for even doing sub stories nice

I'm sure you have your reasons for not liking GW2, and I respect that, it's just the term "wowclone" that annoyed me slightly. But every MMO is not for every player, therefore I won't delve more into thiis little matter, just going to say "have fun =]" and thank you for hearing me out.
