Please Keep surplus, it makes people play other classes instead of playing the game like its WoW.
Start leveling other classes when you hit surplus people. Or grind through it and quit whining.

And Applause to you Doctor Mog as you really are Hardcore and surplus doesn't even flinch you! See guys! Here a person who can reach Max Rank with Surplus!![]()

I generally agree with you on most things DoctorMog. I also understand that fatigue is really just a minor annoyance.
What do you think of the reasons I stated above?
Further, the general principle of fatigue is keeping people from playing. I would personally rather have FFXIV appeal to a wdier audience so that subscripitons can be used to create future content.
I know some people say that they would rather do without players who can't put up with the system. I find that idea to be short-sighted.

Some of us don't want to play other classes. The whole point of an mmo, and the armoury system is to give the player the freedom of what they want to do. The surplus system denies us that option. PGL is the ONLY class I find enjoyable. Why should I be forced to bore myself with another class because you think I should be playing them?
I will say this, if people think the population is bad right now. Wait until they start charging subscriptions and they still have this system in place. The servers will be completely dead. And what about the ps3 players that come along later in this games life? Do you think its fair that they have to deal with this system while they try to catch up to the pc players who had a year+ advantage?

Gosh, with the current FATIGUE system how many people already REACH rank 50 twice? or more than that?? there is a lot! and soon more to come!
What the fatigue systems need is a little TWEAK not completely erasing it!.

It needs to be removed. I will not pay for a sub if this system is still in place. And I know many other players whole feel the same way, and its painfully obvious in these threads as well. SE will lose even more of their population if this system stays in place.

I feel its bugged. When i don't level a job for a few days, and then attempt to do so i am fatigued. Just seems like resting does not matter at all, and you can only gain a certain amount each week and that is that.
I still do not mind it at all . This game is not about a main class its about diversity. Having skills on one job assists another job and makes a class more interesting to play. So leveling up more then one makes my time that much more enjoyable when i have new skills to play with on my main job.
Well-put. It's been said a thousand times over while Hiromichi Tanaka was in charge of the game, but did he listen? no! And you see how far THAT got him! I'm just hoping, wishing, praying that Mr. Yoshida will do the right thing and get rid of this horridly flawed system and let the players be! We want freedom to rank our classes without the hendrance of being penalized for playing in the first place! It doesn't stop players from playing their perspective classes: all it does is make them grind even HARDER on them!
If they actually had the "surplus" points count towards another system for customizing your character (i.e. guild marks, etc.), then I wouldn't really mind.
But actually penalizing players for spending their free time playing their game (It is what it is.) by physically taking away any incentive to continue playing was not a really good option IMO...
