    The coloring you see on the zbrush model has absolutely nothing to do with final in-game colors. This entire model will later get converted into a polygonal model, which will then get textured and colored. The current colors of Shiva are placeholders to tell modelers what's what. They could've picked any color to differentiate the features (ZBrush models are also often only one color).

    You can see the process using XIV's Morbol and Ifrit here from "The Making of a Realm" series wayyy back at release time. The current Shiva models are the equivalent to the all-red models in this video.

    Compare the concept art of released primals to their final in-game versions to Shiva's concept art and you'll get an idea of what she'll look like in the end. They are very faithful color wise to the concepts.

    The only opinion I would really say is I think her face lost something in the modeling. In the concept art, she has a much rounder face with a larger forehead (plus what appears to be a gem that is missing) that gives her a demure, mysterious ice queen look. The angry expression and low, angled forehead loses her regalness that is more fitting for Garuda or say Siren. It also does remind you of an Elezen, which I think is unintentional and not what they are going for.

    Shiva looks great! I personally love her VIII model but this one is much more detailed! Looking good SE!

    I like the different colored streaks in her hair. Kind of odd to see her without blue skin though.
    I' do hope in summoner job , we can summon full body summom, she would look epic following the summoner. I mean floating near the summoner,if we can keep them out for a period of time.

    I though Ifrit was just perfect. He, to me, is more like a "simple" beast, or an animal if you will, whereas Garuda is just freaky scary (along the lines of Harpies) - between a beast and a human.

    Shiva looks like she'll be the one with actual intelligence. That's what I love about FF Summons. So much variety! Not all of them are anthropomorphic, the same size, posses speech or intelligence. . . .

    Threw together a quick visual example... hopefully this helps people understand a little bit.

    -This is a very quick rough example.

    - I chose to use a flat plane as the low poly... because it better shows what a normal map does visually. It adds bump information the lighting can react to on the low poly. This gives the "appearance" of more detail than the low poly actually has.

    The purple map is the "Normal map" forgot to put that in there.

    Great example. even knowing what it does, I'm always shocked at how powerful normal maps can be.
