Nonsense. Visual style is a fundamental force in how you react to something. Okami was made all the more fun by its beautiful visuals. Is it the most important thing in games? Not at all. You can have great games with only text, but it doesn't change the fact that great sensible visuals are something that can really help a game be more enjoyable.
