    Yeah I actually agree with OP. But that's always been a problem with the series and the MMO genre in general.

    All flair and no class. What you don't show is just as important as what you do.

    no problem with flashiness as long as the amount of flashy correlates with the amount of power.

    Im more turned off by the bright blue/purple names, I wish they were white and a bit smaller. I also wish they would rethink the zone dots, or make them dimmer. Really not a fan of the bright blue balls hanging out in my face. A little less flashy so my screenshots don't look like I took a picture of the sun when fighting would indeed be nice.

    Alpha testers (including myself) gave lots of feedback, and among it a lot of us agreed that the abilities were just a tad too flashy and too loud for being regular abilities. There was a dev response to this specifically, saying it would be adjusted/changed in Beta.

    You need not worry about this until you see how Beta turns out.
