Aren't the subscribers on said platform the reason to make it available? I raised the point because it's the first line of the OP.
Yes and no. If they made the game for everybody that had a console, they'd just waste money producing it. They're targetting the PS3 because they promised a PS3 version and want to hold to their promise. It's definately a reason, but it's not the reason. Otherwise theyd make a 360 version.
I have to disagree, not everyone that's interested in this game will consider playing it on PC. Believe it or not, there are those who are still waiting for it to be released on ps3 to play at all. So are you saying SE should just ignore that group of potential subscribers?Yes and no. If they made the game for everybody that had a console, they'd just waste money producing it. Which is what the Op wants to start which at least 85% of this thread is against thus this thread and its meaning at all was defeated. Its only kept alive by those now battling the network on the Ps3 which is the game will be played so in short we want the Ps3 but a better network on the system to play itI have to disagree, not everyone that's interested in this game will consider playing it on PC. Did you even read my post?I have to disagree, not everyone that's interested in this game will consider playing it on PC. Your post assumed that the reason to make a ps3 version is cause a subscription base exists on it. Going by that logic, a 360 version would be just as viable. That's my point. Sorry I speak English I guess.
In fact they had talks with Microsoft to make one, but Microsoft refused. It's well known history.
SE talked with microsoft about a 360 version, but could't get an agreement about xbox live policy. With this there was no 360 version planned. You can say XBox Live killed Final Fantasy XIV 360.
