The launch of temporary browser-based games based on seasonal events (eg Chinese New Year, Valentine's Day) which will give us in-game rewards that we can claim when 2.0 starts, in order to promote ARR and keep current players logging to the site regularly... Well if I was their marketing dept, that's what I would have done!

By Benchmark it means a program to test your system specs. Character Creator isn't till ARR is set to launch, so july is when that'll happen most likely.

The skin that Yoshida is shedding is just the Wandering Minstrel NPC. I don't think it means anything other than that the Wandering Minstrel is Yoshida.

I anticipate Beta solid date announcement, and apps go up. I doubt that the benchmark is ready.

Well, according to the new roadmap, all the races and genders will be available starting from Beta Phase 1. So we could expect them being all implemented into the benchmark as well I guess.

A benchmark can take a variety of forms. They could release a Character Creation benchmark then.
