Jan 7 is the first full week of the new year. (Many businesses are closed most of this week.)

I can't guess what will happen Jan 7, but I hope the next month or so is full of great announcements. Trailers? Benchmarks? Beta signup? PS3 love? {Yes, please!}

Art stuff guesses:
Year of the Snake. (WoO!!! Best year ever. )
Shedding the old skin of v1.0 (and its stigma of failure)? (very snake-like)
Bow and arrow to hit ARR milestone targets.
Just born but raring to go (baby chocobo)
Stuff I missed:
Bomb keeping Yoshi's coffee hot (brilliant! I want one!)
Chibi behemoth carrying arrows (sweet!)

My guess for the seventh is the beta application site opening.

Yoshi has been emphasizing rebirth (even in his picture) snakes shed there skin and start again, yoshi does the same thing a baby chocobo is a new beginning and I guess the bombard is a baby too... So it would make sense that we get the opportunity to recreate our character with the benchmark... I also expect the beta entry too...
