Is it confirmed that FFXIV:ARR will run better on windows 8 and is convenient for the promised DX11?

A few people have mentioned that Yoshi-P is shedding his own skin in that pic... I think he's coming out of the skin of the Wandering Minstrel, his own custom NPC that he used to give us our Goobbue horns. The goggles and red of the NPC's torso are very clearly visible there. Perhaps that has meaning as well, that he's shedding the Minstrel NPC for ARR, but I hope not. He was an interesting NPC and had great potential for direct director-player interaction via NPC for the future.

Maybe it's just a fun picture with no deeper meaning though.

I would sign up for that, my high-end desktop computer and MacBook Pro can play it fine. I'll definitely test it on my PS3.

I doubt it since it wouldn't be fair to the player that didn't get into to the beta until open beta if another guys gets into both the ps3 and pc beta... Also it would be a waste since you can't play on both systems at the same time unless you have multiple service accounts...

I see your point, though SE could pick all the people who chose only PS3 first and/or didn't get selected for PC if that fits their testing goals. They already said they would give priority to the PS3 FF13 beta key holders.

Just rechecked the lodestone to make sure the japanese date is the 7th and it is... since there is a 15 hour difference between JST and PST it wouldn't be so far to say that PST could receive it on the 6th...
