In a fair world, everyone would mind their own business and go on about their lives. In a fair world, people would understand to live and let live and not to try to control other peoples' lives. Bu the thing is, we live in a world that is FAR from the one I described. People of different religions, races, and beliefs are always going to try to convert others' to their way of thinking, forcefully more often than not. It's their way of validating their own beliefs; if they can use what they believe to assimilate or destroy others, then it seems to them to be that much stronger. There is safety in numbers, and only the strong shall survive. It's like the basest instincts of the most dangerous animals.

That's why I think marriage should be kept out of MMOs. It ignites the war of the many tongues, it creates unnecessary and unneeded conflicts, and there are too many people who are not willing to leave alone those they don't agree with. Allowing marriage in MMOs is akin to allowing religion in MMOs, it won't go off well. Now, in my opinion, I really don't give a crap about SSM being in an MMO. Sure, it's not my way, but then again, my character won't be marrying anyone of his sex, so who cares? SSM is like any other feature in the game like holiday quests, it's not manditory to beat the game, and you can either do it or not, it really doesn't matter. I just wish Yoshi hadn't decided to add this feature. It's already a pain in the butt.
