Thats what i meant by adding really cool content. Because doing quest that look all the same can get really bored after a few day.You might be surprised when the final Product comes.Looking at the Quest/ battle video. Yes it has quests but they added their own little twist to it. ( When I saw the Slugs came out of that tree I was completely shocked, I was like whoa in my chair.. I thought it was going to be oh pour this on here to clean the tree, and that's it. But the Slugs appeared and I was like.. Yup I'm going to enjoy questing if quests keep "Surprising" me like this.
If the Quest Surprises me.. then the Quest was good. That's how I judge a quest for the most part.
Let's Hope they give us those type of Quests, I mean I don't mind Quests that are boring, but I hope at least have the quests are "Surprising".
not to rain on your parade but every mmo has this. least a lot of them do, gw2 even. lots of items you click on and pop comes mobs. in ffxi almost every other item you clicked on a monster came after you. fact they were every other time a mini boss or hard encounter rather then little slugs that you kill in a couple shots.
if they add bosses to these and add huge huge chunks of exp to them it might be fun, but reality is just like tera you take 5mins to find people to do it ..if not you move on and skip them and back to the boring ones(waiting any longer you could do 2-3normal and got same exp). that is also the huge diff from making people group all the time to only once in while. (it equates to never for most people)
if you just make them all huge chunks but solo it's kinda like secret world and it is just as boring as any other mob. if you need to solo something epic ...offline fights are way more epic. i've yet to solo anything in ffxiv and said wow that was awesome. and if that happens then great but i have this feeling anything with any feeling to it will be party play.
tldr, every mmo has "surprise" mobs pop out during things![]()
