SE stop doing the "norm"

ARR is going in the easy path of every casual MMO that are WoW like.

You might be surprised when the final Product comes .Looking at the Quest/ battle video. Yes it has quests but they added their own little twist to it. ( When I saw the Slugs came out of that tree I was completely shocked, I was like whoa in my chair.. I thought it was going to be oh pour this on here to clean the tree, and that's it. But the Slugs appeared and I was like.. Yup I'm going to enjoy questing if quests keep "Surprising" me like this.

If the Quest Surprises me.. then the Quest was good. That's how I judge a quest for the most part.

and thats why FFXIV:ARR will end up like every MMO's who follow The WoW like. It will end F2P or dead after, hmm let's say, 1 year max.

Seriously, I've been playing SW:TOR, who is exactly the way ARR is going to be( WoW like). since it turn F2P and i have nothing else to do now that FF is closed. And here is my conclusion: after a few week, im simply getting BORED playing this style of MMO! It's just to easy. Questing over and over. This thing just never end! Easy Reward after each Quest. Every stuff have no Value.

Why do i play FFXI in first place? Because it wasnt like WoW. I like the character Grinding, Exp Party, Events, Farming, End-game, NM camp(even if i got frustrated many time ^^) I enjoy the fact that everything was takin time. In the end you always end-up very proud to achieve you'r Goal after all the efforts you place.

Now my dear Friends, ARR is going in the easy path of every casual MMO that are WoW like. Im telling you right here, right now, SE better have to put a lot of nice content to the games, unless why would pepeol play for a copy-paste of every F2P games already on the web?

I wanna stay with FF mmo's forever but I agree I couldn't sit and enjoy any mmo like I did XI. XI kept me hooked literally logging on everyday with TOO much to get done. No other mmo has had that for me. I cant even stand the way you level/quest and raid enough to play more then 3 months before I stop playing other MMO's. XIV kept me busy but not even 1/5 of as busy as I always seemed to be in xi. If ARR is just another wow/tera/gw/pw/sw ill be so sad I think id have to quit until the team of those MuD roleplay games decided to make a mmo. With a short playin of that skyrim mmo. I do love player submitted dats!

Not quite sure where you find her so mistaken. I found it believable. Truthfully I have heard those similar words spoken by a great deal of players discussing ARR.

Thats what i meant by adding really cool content. Because doing quest that look all the same can get really bored after a few day.

Let's Hope they give us those type of Quests, I mean I don't mind Quests that are boring, but I hope at least have the quests are "Surprising".

I agree with you at 100% I will give the chance to ARR, But if this game turn into WoW, leaving wont be a problem until i can find something as good and challenging as FFXI was.

Well the keyword is "Surprised". Did you "expect" those Slugs to come out? Or did you feel like it was just going to be Pour water on tree and that's it?

And it is a low level quest.. so :P.

You almost make it sound like WOW doesn't have anything else in it besides quest grinds. I wonder if people like you even played the damn game for more than 10 minutes.
