I wonder if people actually take a moment to say: I didn't get into the Alpha, perhaps that's my fault.

It's an interview pretty much. Did you select the right choices, do you have the machines they're looking for, etc. etc.

It's nothing like an "interview", nor is it my "fault" I didn't get an invite. How are we meant to know what the "right answers" are?

Honestly, not going to say too much but I'm disappointed on the whole. Having played nine years of FFXI though, I really should have known better. Live and learn I suppose.

I'm confused about this as well. If the goal is to stress test the servers, wouldn't it be better to invite players who are more likely to log on a lot? I'm not fussed either way, but I do find it a bit peculiar.

As said in " Players who played through thick & thin in 1.0 problems continued to play & pay," we logged on everyday. So yes, it would be better to invite us to help test new version.

Fact is, they don't even need to. These extra rounds of testing are more just a courtesy than anything. From what I hear they have all the feedback they need from the first phase with the JP players.

C'mon people, we'll all get into Beta.

This one is not as bad as the job interview's feeling I had. That one got me all sad for almost every day for 2 month straight, thinking "What if I said...." or "I should of said this...." orz still comes back time to time but not as bad now... lol

Yeah, it really does blow to be honest, but sadly that's how our world works. Also you really deserve the job at SE, and it's a crime that you're not there now.
