Hmm... that's an interesting idea...Create a FFT (tactics/advance) system XD
Can use jobs to unlock jobs. Certain jobs may be considered advanced jobs that have extra restrictions applied to them. (Also means weapons are not the job maker)
Can get around things like "How the hell do we make a blue mage without making a class dedicated to it that doesn't want to share any of its abilities with other classes" and can also do things like "Perhaps the bard should have an instrument and a bow..." (get around ability and item restrictions).
You can sort of do some of these things like making a class use two types of items but say you want to make a bow that both archer, samurai, bard, and ranger can use. The system support will start to become convoluted as rules come in place like "can be secondary weapon for samurai is main hand weapon for ranger, bard has secondary harp). Gladiator using a dagger x thief using a dagger x thief's base class using a dagger.
(However to separate classes from jobs in feeling (abilities/skills) in the current system.. good freaking luck)
Though I can see some people saying (perhaps you) "I dont want to level a new job but rather "extend" the current class". Which is preference, I cant really argue about that.
I was never a fan of FFT (I more liked FTA), but FFT had an excellent job system. Still, the system in FF14 is pretty good as it is imo. I guess I'd be fine with either one.
lol Iwasn't on the receiving end of anything. And there's a difference between telling someone else they have their head up their ass because of differing opinions and telling someone else to stop with the annoying QQing by starting new threads on the sam subject over and over.
And really, are you sure you want to go down this road? Your whiny QQing ended an entire thread. Leave this one pure, will ya? lol
You're not very good at this humor thing are you? Don't dish it out if you cant take it.Another lazy/angry person who hasn't read any of my posts on this subject...
Oh wait I'm so sorry for remaining impartial about classes until I have played the beta, how wrong of me. I mean how dare I do or say anything that is not saying SE is wonderful in every way, I forgot FFXIV was fine and didn't need rebuilding from the ground up, how could I have overlooked its absolute perfection!
Gutting the lore of the story is not an answer. Arcanist and carbuncle says classes are going nowhere. The main site's pages on classes says they are going nowhere. Achievements and quests that are still attainable says classes are going nowhere.
And they all have lore explaining the events of the world around their cities, and also a starting point to the adventurer's story. Whole npc lives and organizations are built around the guilds.
To put the adventurer as independent of all this makes them an alien instead of a resident. Some anomaly of the game world that is detached from its society and lore. That's not you get investment into a character's story.
Now can your insinuations.
There's absolutely no difference. Both are insulting remarks, and both are against the rules.lol Iwasn't on the receiving end of anything. And there's a difference between telling someone else they have their head up their ass because of differing opinions and telling someone else to stop with the annoying QQing by starting new threads on the sam subject over and over.
Actually your personal insults and attacks ended the entire thread. And it's interesting to see that you continue down that road even here. And really, are you sure you want to go down this road? Your whiny QQing ended an entire thread. Leave this one pure, will ya? lol
I suggest you learn to discuss without calling people names before you point your little fingers at others. But hey, feel free to disregard it.
My self respect is intact. At least I don't criticize others for what I do, like you do
Little Skye is hurt because he's been told to pull his head out of his rear, but he feels entitled to call others names whenever he likes.
How convenient.
Glad to see that you're out of arguments. Not that you ever had any, mind you.
Pretty much this. The concept of classes is deeply ingrained in the very basics of the game and in its lore. They're not going anywhere.
Also, it was someone else that was told that. Which proves that, once again, you don't know what you're talking about.
And the fact that you actually want to start this agin proves once again that you have absolutely no life whatsoever.
I feel kind of bad for laughing at you, lol.
Doesn't really matter, does it? You feel entitled to insult others as you admitted yourself, but it seems to get your underwear in a bunch when it's not convenient for you.
You should feel kind of bad about the fact that you continue to attack others on a personal level. And the fact that you actually want to start this agin proves once again that you have absolutely no life whatsoever.
I feel kind of bad for laughing at you, lol.
