Yes, because amazon reviews section is such an unbiased and authoritative source to use in determining the mindset of the entire JP playerbase It's about as good of an idea as it is to use 4ch to judge the intelligence of the human race.



Of course there were those who were against global server on the JP side, just like there were those against it in the NA/EU side for various reasons, some more valid than others - neither side has a monopoly on a-holes.

you guys, unless they have world pvp, this whole thread is invalid. Its not that people hate cross servers its that you can gather people from all the different servers for pvp and camp entire areas. Again if you going to post stuff like this in forums at least have all the info... Or at least play the games being talked about

Read the JP amazon reviews about FFXI, there were tons of complains how they hated playing with foreigners. Some JP players felt deceived because they thought the servers would be JP only and they wouldn't have to deal with foreigners and that they would get their own servers. SE was cheap and didn't want to set up regional servers.

Lol offtopic but I wanted to add they are just mad because they had a 1 year headstart but still got overun and outplayed XD

(Yes a lot of bad NA players too, but there where a lot of lol wtf no life + epic groups as well - took a little while after launch ofc we had to build our information sources that JPN already had).

there are things in wow now that would make Final Fantasy xiv great and they should borrow those systems in there own way. The State of the JRPG is pretty dire right now, and if they have to borrow from the west to make money and keep up then so be it. I would much rather give my money to a company like square enix, that has wow type game play with the artistry, story and graphics and feeling of a final fantasy any day.

look the controls and UI were bad not the players, the fact that you had to be a macro genius was terrible game design
Most 11 players will find out how bad they actually are once the new UI is in effect in XIV. Once you have full control over your characters in sense of modern MMO's you will find that the macro kings won't be that good and in fact most macros in modern mmo's make you slower to react, and yes this includes wow to.
