I disagree. Yoshi I'm not in this, don't punish me....seems the horrible systems Blizzard call Cross Realm Dungeons and Cross Realm Zones, which a large number of people playing WOW detest with a passion, is coming to FFXIV:
This is a recipe for disaster, the long experience of the cross-realm Looking For Dungeon has amply shown it breeds excessive greed and ass-hattery, because players can be jerks and then return to their own realm with no repercussions with regard to their community reputations.
Cross Realm Zones has destroyed large parts of the gathering game, now the over-competition for resource nodes makes leveling gathering a nightmare.
Please Yoshi, I beg of you, DON'T inflict this community-killer on us.
Content finder is probably going to be for the very basic instances.
Content finder Garuda groups would have been hilarious to watch. 3% group win rate anyone?

If anything, they'll be scaling the difficult of pre-existing content up, considering people with extreme lag over in EU countries were able to clear things such as Ifrit Extreme (as stupidly annoying as it may have been) using reworked strategies that worked better for them purely because of the whole Lag issue. So if they claim the horrendous lag experienced while playing 1.x won't exist in ARR, then all of the 1.x content like Primals will be seemingly easier, if the encounters aren't scaled up. I can only imagine how easy Ifrit Extreme in 1.x would have been with 100ms less lag even. D:
QFT. Our group had 3 players from Belgium, 3 players from the UK, and the other 2 slots were Canada and East Cost USA.
It was night and day with the latency between the continents!
PS: I miss you sieg, why dont we hang any more brah.

This ^^
Yoshi-P said the same
Content finder = casual/PUG contentYes, even if you need technique/skills it will change depending on the parties situation. If you want to take down dungeon efficiently or requires high level of teamwork it’s better to be with community you’re used to. Therefore for content finder would be happy if you can use it casually. Also the finder can be registered while already in a party so for example when you have 7 people already and short on 1, you can use the finder to look for that one last person.
static party = the hard contents

True, but that's simply assuming they're just scaling difficulty up or down. Who says they won't completely change the whole encounters.

Well, of course they're going to completely change entire chunks of content which previously existed in 1.x. They have to, considering the way battle and skill sets are going to heavily change, it wouldn't make sense to have encounters that worked in an entirely different version of a game in the new, overhauled product, as it was designed for the old one. The current Primal battles, for example, won't have the same mechanics I'm sure. If anything, I expect that they'll be able to implement mechanics that are more challenging and creative, that they weren't previously able to fathom putting into 1.x due to its "limitations" on many parts.
I can definitely imagine Ifrit Extreme being a fight that's heavily challenging, yet still very fun and defeatable with more than one contrived strategy and setup that's used to cope with horrible 1.x instability. I look forward to tackling that fight again in ARR and hopefuly not have something like server latency and luck play a role in the outcome.

I misses you too Junpei! I always just assume you're sleeping because you're in such a different time zone lawl. I'll come hang soon and stuffs. I've been bored, quite obviously.

Wow did get kinda....yeah when people started with the random dungeon thing *i was on Wow when that started >.>*
