I'm actually looking forward to implementation of these cross realm servers.
Since we've formed a pretty fun group on Phoenix's FFXI server I'd still like to be able to hold events with people when/if they decide to choose a different server.
The "Worldless" server provides that opportunity. I too, am concerned about my immediate community so I'll probably only use it play with friends who chose a different server. In all likelihood the system will only be as useful to the community that uses it. We already had a party search and content match up system in XIV but no one in the Western Hemisphere used it.
I'm also happy that it let's me choose a server closer to me while still allowing me to coordinate events with people all around the world outside of the game.
I still play WoW aswell and had no issue with the CR LFG, find more group faster then b4 it, and gathering had no issue etherThis is a recipe for disaster, the long experience of the cross-realm Looking For Dungeon has amply shown it breeds excessive greed and ass-hattery, because players can be jerks and then return to their own realm with no repercussions with regard to their community reputations.
Cross Realm Zones has destroyed large parts of the gathering game, now the over-competition for resource nodes makes leveling gathering a nightmare.
Please Yoshi, I beg of you, DON'T inflict this community-killer on us.
even Aion has this CR LFG now aswell

It did absolutely nothing other than irritate the few remaining backwards thinking reactionaries that have an apoplexy as soon as they hear the word "innovation" and that think that spending an hour being bored while shouting in a plaza is somehow fun.
On the other hand, how many MMORPG with a content finder did you play? I played seven so far, and in none the community has been damaged in any appreciable way. I would say the one with an overly limited experience is you. WoW isn't the only MMO out there, you know?
Stop crying please. The content finder is a standard feature in nowadays' mmorpgs. It's going to come whether you like it or not, it's gonna save people a massive amount of boredom, and it's gonna do absolutely nothing to the community at large.

You'd have a lot of good points if you didn't constantly berate the people you're talking about, but after all, you hate rude and confrontational people.
It's funny how you criticize others, considering that almost every post of yours is an "ad personam", exactly like the one I'm quoting, mind you. You really have no place to talk about "rude and confrontational".
Mind you, I'm not really "berating" anyone. I'm just describing something with its name. Saying that the sky is grey when it's raining doesn't "berate" it.
While I agree cross server content finder is a great feature, not one person that has played wow, tera or any other game with this mechanic can deny the insane amount of "toxic" behavior brought out from players just because they think they can get away with it. And that said behavior can be as discouraging as not finding a group. That's all I have to say on that matter.
i don't know you, but i would never ever ever ever bet on a pinco while doing something like ifrit extreme. The supposed "problem" for linkshell and free company don't really exist. content finder work good on mission quests or easy-care dungeons like cc, av or even the regular primals. But guessing you can play solo and do content like a relic it's like having fear to fly to the moon with a fartIt doesn't affect them directly, but it can cause problems when you get a new and bigger playerbase, how will your linkshell expand if you can do everything without needing one? There would be little reason to join a linkshell when you can plop yourself in a queue and get paired up with whoever.
This is why if they decide to lay priority in content with people using content finder, linkshells won't really be like they were in XI and XIV, Free Companies will likely be the only form of in server organization in that matter depending on how SE handles it.
"Toxic" behavior exists with or without content finder. XIV's player base is just significantly smaller than other games so logically, it won't be as easy to point out these people. Pretty sure you guys been reading about Hamlet Defense seal shenanigans.
Great sig btw
