I think social is important but without the latter it becomes something like second-life. The gameplay and its framework must come first! After all when it comes to the social aspect, SE can only do so much - its up to the community and each of us to make it into something worthwhile and meaningful. Maybe your question should be - what can the community do to make FFXIV something more involving/social for its players?

No, to me it sounded like he wanted SE to focus on the Massively Multiplayer and Role-playing.

It's nice to see SE adding things in that gives you more interest to log on every day. Seriously contrast that to WoW.. what did you do every week? I logged in twice, once to do heroics and then raids, the other to do dailies, or gathering. Seriously boring as hell.
