Oh I'm a total nerd, I admit it.

So that video definatlly applies to me, no problem there.

Difference for me is that these topics are silly and meaningless. You really think or rather feel like a game is too sexist for you? I feel sorry for you. You're really worried about same sex marriage in a game, really? Would the idea that you couldnt have a guy on guy or girl on girl marriage really dictate whether or not you would play a video game? Does the flat tummies and fit bodies of the avatars make you feel somehow inadaquet as a person and insecure? Then your problems lay much deeper than within a video game.

Please, continue to evaluate our psychological conditions, Dr. Phil.

While I agree that some discussions are a little bit silly, Yoshida himself is seeking opinions on same-sex marriage.

The dev team also takes comments regarding characters seriously.

Your ability to dictate what's wrong with others simply because you lack the insecurity for dealing with it yourself does well to set you apart from other people, and not in a good way.

I have zero insecurites young one, zero. I'm very comfortable in my own skin and do not seek to find some sort of comfortable alternative to myself online in any shape or form. Can you say the same? Perhaps. Does it really matter? Not in the least bit.

    sex·ism
       [sek-siz-uhm] Show IPA

    noun
    1.
attitudes or behavior based on traditional stereotypes of sexual roles.

    2.
discrimination or devaluation based on a person's sex, as in restricted job opportunities; especially, such discrimination directed against women.

In no way, shape or form, is the game discriminating against female players or the avatars that they represent by limiting them in what they are capable of accomplishing. What they choose to wear is entirely up to the player themselves, though the designs themselves may be more revealing on a female than a male, ultimately the player chooses what he or she wants to adorn themselves in. Not the dev team, not Yoshi himself. The original poster has mentioned that they didnt have issues with the swimsuits or the more open clad style clothing, so its not a clothing issue really, so what instead is the sexism focus coming on? The breast size/physic question that came into the Q&A, that's called making a mountian out of a molehill. So what, a couple of nerdy foreveralone guys decided it'd be funny to see the live letter address a silly topic and they won, good for them. Anyone who is offended and thinks that it has a deeper, darker, more sinister play on discrimination have their own personal issues to deal with. It has nothing to do with how the game is going to function.

    COOL FACTS
    Wanna know the funny thing?

Brace yourself, behind your computer right now.

I'm not even talking about that, in fact that's the silly part I agreed with. You said it's silly to bring up these real world issues and acted like we're retarded for it.

    Guess what you just did.

    Yeah.

    YEAH.

    You did it. Good job.

My god how do people operate on a day to day basis.

So rather than answer the question with an intelligent counter response to explain what the validity of the sexism topic has to do with XIV and how its actually affecting anything in game or in the future of the game, you instead try to be snarky and sarcastic? You may have a small group of followers laughing at your witty responses, but you fail as a debater. Failed miserably.

I'm not trying to debate. You came into this thread bitching about other people debating about stupid topics. And now you're trying to debate about a stupid topic. How am I supposed to answer that? You are a maelstrom of hypocrisy.

I'm toying with you, if you haven't yet figured that out, then there is no hope for you.
